If you look closely in the second picture, you can see our Troopy's old top cut off and in the metal scrap pile in front of Owyhee's Troopy......

Sikaflex is available via Amazon. I bought mine through Ellsworth Adhesives because it was much cheaper just slower shipping. Can these be bought at Home Depot or ACE. Or are these Amazon purchases? I’ve got the rest. I want to follow the recipe. Your instructions look great.

Por15 can be bought at your local auto parts store - I think I got mine from Autozone?
Fluid film is available via Amazon.
No problemo man!Thank you.
Thank you and check your DM. LolNo problemo man!
I can also give you a thorough walkthrough when you pick up your roof!

If you want high quality, you’re not going to find at big box. I’d recommend Eastwood for the cavity spray and the rust encapCan these be bought at Home Depot or ACE. Or are these Amazon purchases? I’ve got the rest. I want to follow the recipe. Your instructions look great.

@JK FW : if you want to go premium, I would recommend Eastwood products for both the cavity wax and the rust inhibiting primer/paint.Sikaflex is available via Amazon. I bought mine through Ellsworth Adhesives because it was much cheaper just slower shipping.

@prwillard2 : what size sikaflex tubes did you use? It looks like you can get bigger tubes and I was wondering if that might make install easier. What color Sikaflex did you go with - white or black? Wondering if white might help make the top look more integrated but have only seen them installed with black. Last one, which electric caulk gun did you use and were you happy with it?
I second this. I bought 5 gallons of Woolwax a couple of years ago when it was on sale and use it on my entire undercarriage every year before winter. Great stuff!for fluid film @bob1008 use to offer a ih8mud discount on the woolwax site.
Welcome to kellsportproducts.com - Woolwax lanolin vehicle undercoating. Woolwax stops rust !
With out getting into the details, woolwax is essentially the same as fluid film. I've used both, and mostly get everything through the woolwax site now. Discount code is "ih8mud". Also, my local NAPA carries it, but probably not the case everywhere. Personally, I'd order straight from woolwax, especially if you want to use it as an undercoating. The stuff is amazing.
You know you have a great product when it causes this much grief, yet it is still in demand... lol.On the por15 note, if your Autozone carries them in the tiny cans, get those. They're slightly more $/ounce, but once you open a can of POR15 and it gets exposed to any moisture, including humidity, it's done. Next time you try to open the can it'll be hard as a rock or the lid will be fused on and you'll destroy it trying to open it.
Charlotte, NC, not Charleston. Probably just a typo. Thanks!Update, 0830PDT, 8 Aug 2024:
Final 3 tops have been picked up from the warehouse in Long Beach and are en route to Charleston.
@theglobb @Universe953 @seanroe1
This *should* conclude this group buy, but would absolutely like to eventually set up a meet up with all of us sometime maybe next year.
You are correct, will fix in original post.Charlotte, NC, not Charleston. Probably just a typo. Thanks!
Looking great!!First outing with the pop top. Just doing some campground hoping around the Olympic Peninsula with the in-laws and extended family, but it is an absolute game changer to be able to stand up inside the Troopy. Absolutely love how easy it is to set up, take down. Definitely loving the top and the rig with the top on it!
