I would pull it off and check the keyway. Like J Mack said the best case is the bolt is loose, the worst case is the keyway in the crankshaft is messed up. The pulley might even be fine.
Don’t disagree with any of this but have to be able to run it onto the trailer to take to shop where the body swap is going to happen. Will take better look tomorrow but after that no significant tear down until i take it to Tulsa. Then it will be game on and I can run over to shop after work and do some tinkering.

Have access to large work area with 2 post lift. Plenty of room to move chassis around. It’s 50 or so miles away so both pigs will be trailered there for when Onur and I can take care of it. Small change in plans as Onur earlier today said he had to change our date from the 17th.

Praying the cam is not affected as that will change things dramatically.

Gonna stay positive!!

Fixing gauges should be easy as nothing was attached after removing cluster.

However my books don’t show and nothing on searching mud talks about two black wires (grounds possibly?) and where they attach?

Anyone got some ideas?

I am sure you figured it out by now, but those are for the ammeter - DO NOT GROUND!!!

Think this is good possibility, went back and rubbed decades of junk off wires and have little more to work with.

Looking at wire diagrams now to hopefully learn some more.

Guess they could attach to the two taller posts which have brass appearance adjacent to the plug. Guessing the W = white so worth a try.

That is a precarious place to mount the posts for ammeter. The first time I pulled the cluster on my 40 I found out how easy it is to touch the metal surround with those posts!

Can you feel if the bolt is still in the crank to hold the harmonic balancer on there?
Is it tight?
At least see if you can tighten it before driving it onto the trailer. I think it would be a bad thing for that sucker to deploy!

Bonnie off to Steve’s tomorrow morning.

Kel has been helping me flush tank after vinegar soak. After 4 complete fills and me wrestling it around some to rinse all the insides we drained at the new plug the old timer installed. First soak predictably had moderate amount of particulate. By 4th soak, water was clear as it could be.

Now plugged up with blower for next 2-3 hours while I watch football. Then apply the red kote, put inside Bonnie and part of that process will be complete.

Always more fun when Kim or Kel partakes and is still smiling after!

Is that “THE” tank?

Is that “THE” tank?
That is not the “tank” Al, that one will probably go with 69 chassis. When it sells. Found in my barn of all things. It was “rough”! Had it powder coated and have worked to clean up inside and it looks great inside and out.

Got the syringes also, thank you!

Great! A short piece of tubing on the tip and you can reach almost anything
