Accomplished the tasks I set out for myself today. Since I don’t have factory lockers the empty dash slot made a good spot for the dual voltmeter. After that was complete I wired in another relay and ran the wiring for the rear flood lights. All in a days work (com’n congress 
).
). 
Very nice use of the locker switch position.
I have a 5 pound fire extinguisher mounted with quickfist’s in the same spot. I like your thinking ole chap.
I contemplate dual batteries but can’t really think of why I need them. What was the major driver for your decision to battery up.

Really it is for piece of mind having a backup and separating out all the crap. Since I still do a lot of solo wheeling in the desert safety is the biggest factor for most things I do.

My wife is a trooper so far, but now I can’t let your wife and her talk about these amenities because I hate running wires.
I’ve don’t a lot of wheeling and never had a battery issue but, as a precaution, precaution, I carry an Anti-gravity XP10. It’s a handy little unit for charging other devices too.

I'm on the line between rock crawler and expedition rig. The has been awesome with all the remote trips we do, she’s never complained about the lack of anything. But keeping her happy will allow us to be able to go on further/longer trips. There will be an inverter added on sometime in the future. And a frig, thanks @bajaphile

A little arts and crafts this morning. I had seen a flag decal on a the rear quarter panel of a 4Runner a while back and really liked it. You can find them for sale on eBay for $30-40. $40 for a sticker is a little ridiculous in my mind, so I blew it off. Then when walking through the store last week I saw a package of foam star stickers and got the idea to make my own.
And besides, those that know me know that my patriotism goes much further than a sticker.

Finally did the auto window up today. When I was going through my box of electrical stuff I found a bag of diodes from when I rewired one of my old Harleys. Part on hand, easy decision to make it happen.
Just let me know next time you want a sticker, I have a vinyl cutter

I made the insert specifically to fit my sockets as I found the store trays to waste too much space.

Wooden dowels; 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2. The 3/4” live in a different drawer. I measured the inside of the drawer and cut a piece of 1/2” MDF to fit. Set all the sockets up on the board and created quadrants per group e.g. 1/2” metric on one side, SAE on the other. Then 3/8, 1/4 in the middle. Due to the varying sizes after I had everything in rows I marked the middle of each socket to each perpendicular line. Straight edged all the grids to get my cross marks then drilled out each hole to 1/8”. Then drilled out each hole to the size of the dowel.
And if that doesn’t sound tedious enough, I then cut up 48” wooden rods to create each dowel, sanding both ends of each one (at least I have a bench top belt sander). The hole to dowel tolerance is very tight and each one was press fit with a mallet, no glue.
It was a good rainy day project.

This isn't the clearest picture from when I made it but it gives a good idea of the layout.
Man, I am so glad to see so many crazy people. Makes me feel good about myself.
