Chap... look at this thread for the armor for those...RLCA skids

9/16 is a huge increase in LCA length. How will that play out when you stuff one of those 37's up in the wheel well?
Following up... it's close but I think there's enough room. I'll keep an eye on the clearance next time I'm able to stuff the driver side to see if I get contact with the fuel tube or not. Passenger side has lots of room. My yard rock is no longer big enough to get the bump stops to touch.

Finally got around to mounting my Mil spec battery terminals. Instead of mounting new cables or new terminal rings on the current cables and fusible link I just drilled out the existing rings to 3/8".

Extra wiring is for winch, aux fuse block, and headlight harness.

Where did you source the battery terminals? I be needing some too along with a second battery but that will have to wait.

:bang: Destroyed another set of radius arm bushings. Went ahead and replaced all six again with OEM since I had the arms off. This one was by far the worst, driver side frame mount.

Is that a photo of an oem bushing??? Say it isn't so!

It was an OEM that I bought online. Perhaps it was a copy/counterfeit or the molding guy had too much sake the night before. It's about a year old, 30k miles, and lots of desert wheeling. I was pretty surprised it disintegrated the way it did. The others didn't look nearly like this one.

I put bushings from troyota in mine about one year ago. I don't drive it as many likes as you but plenty if twisting on rocky trails and mine are fine.

I'm curious to see how well they hold up what with my recently installing these long Dobinson shocks and long travel, tapered (slinky style) coils I got also from Dave Otero of Dobinson USA.

What about meeting me at the Mojave national preserve in late September?

I think I can manage that. Do you know which roads you are planning to take or are you sticking to the Mojave Rd?

I will have two days unless I alter my present plan. So, mybcurrent plan has me dropping off of hwy 15 into the preserve onto to Cima road south to where it intercedes with the Mojave Road and then go west until I decide to head north on one of the roads that lead back to 15. I would like to camp
out at least one night.

If I have a partner, additional exploring and a second night would be possible.

Presently, I would drive 320 miles from the Grand Canyon on the 26th arriving at the preserve before dark, hopefully. What I do from there will be decided when I get there.

If necessary I can probably change my schedule to arrive at the preserve on the 25th of September. I would like to be home by September 29.

I don't have any current plans at that time. I wasn't planning on making the Marlin Crawler run and don't have a club run scheduled. So unless USCIS decides to issue my fiancé her visa at that time I should be free. And even if they do she's always up for some wheeling and camping.

Installed an Anderson plug in the grill to hook my air compressor up to. No more opening the hood and messing with clamps. Should have done this years ago.

Well... doesn't look like the new brushes fixed my low voltage problem. Still not getting the 13.2v while running. Checking from the alternator to the negative battery terminal with the multimeter reads between 12.1v - 12.2v while the truck is at idle. Looks like I'll be ordering a new alternator. Pity, the date on this on was '07.

Ten years is pretty good!!!!

Brainstorming :hmm:

For the one time low price of just $499:eek:. My cardboard was free from Amazon . I’m actually going to try and mock it up with some 16ga. If that goes well I’ll probably just tech screw it in and call it good. But I will have a template we could transfer to aluminum or SS if wanted.

@Cruiser Bauers Santa dropped this off early so i don’t have to worry about you and @KTP killing each other removing dead limbs from the trail.
