For the one time low price of just $499:eek:. My cardboard was free from Amazon :rofl:. I’m actually going to try and mock it up with some 16ga. If that goes well I’ll probably just tech screw it in and call it good. But I will have a template we could transfer to aluminum or SS if wanted.

Hey man, looks like things are coming along nicely. I wanted to ask you what you think of having control arm plates rather than off-set bushings. I bought the bushings but I'm rethinking that setup. Btw, my lift is still not done. I have a crop of new issues.

I honestly prefer the plates over the bushings. Even when I was running a 2.5” lift I was using Slee plates (Slee plates require a notch to be cut, other require a new hole be drilled. IH8rightangledrills). @1973Guppie was planning a wrench day soon I think. Or you can post up in BnT and we can organize something. I’m always up for some wrenching but jack stands on my off camber gravel driveway is pretty sketchy :eek:.

Sounds great! I've got quite a list of "to do's. The reason i asked about the bushings was that i saw your regular center set bushing and it got me thinking of all that twisting that the lack of material on the edges may contribute to some quick busing failure. Anyway, let's stay in touch about the wrench day. I need that . Thanks Chap
 
Surpassed this milestone on the drive home last night. :hmm: Maybe I’ll replace the D light this weekend. All new LEDs are sitting on the workbench.

I also finished cleaning up the compressor mount and shot it with a few coats of rust-oleum bedliner. Now I need to start compiling all my electrical components...

I have a bunch of unused 2 position selector switches for 1/2" cond holes, as well as a bunch of normally open contacts (you can put 1 to 3 contacts per switch), let me know if you want some, I saved them out of the trash heap at work and I don't need all 40-50. Let me know what else you need and maybe I have something. I am actually planning on making a similar switch plate for my truck, but that's several dozen items down the list of things to do.

Alright, my dual battery install is complete. Huge thanks to @Cruiser Bauers for all the assistance. I’d still be pushing wires through the expansion loom and trying to get the ground on the block without your help. Thank you to @RET2 for letting me borrow your crimpers. And thank you @1973Guppie for answering my questions.

As with all mission creep, we pulled my auxiliary fuse block and moved it from the driver kick panel to the firewall. We also installed another fuse block in the rear of the truck for future expansion; which required us to fabricate a mount. Also made a mount to hold my hidden aux ports for the GPS and dash cam.

Things still to do:
Install additional circuit breakers (waiting on USPS)
Install dual voltage meter (arriving tomorrow)
Wire in the puma compressor
Wire up rear lights

don't buy a cobra inverter or other cheap brand, spend the extra money to get a quality name like xantrax:

I have been through several of the cheaper ones and they either don't perform to specs or just plain die. My cobra keeps giving me problems, eventually going to replace with this one.
 
Is that red fuse power line the stereo and lights line off the battery???
I added a 2 amp inline fuse to the power wire of the ACR remote switch.
 
Continuing to finish up the dual battery install. Got all the circuit breakers installed, compressor mounted, shortened the winch cables to clean up the capartment in front of the start battery. I ordered a second rear quarter panel cubby door to try and install for access to the fuse panel, we’ll see how that works.

Tomorrow I’ll install the dual voltmeter and wire in my rear aux led flood lights that have been mounted for the past month in pure poser fashion.
