Yep, a "third" leg would probably be required.
It's nice that you have the patience to wait.
Usually it seems that people will have an event/trip planned and are scrambling to get everything done for it.
And of course that just adds to the stress of it all, e.g. yelling at the wife, berating the kids, kicking the dog, over tightening something and breaking it, etc. o_O
Seriously hope this does not apply to anyone here.

Lol @ third leg.

F it, just submitted an order with Detours for the knuckle bone version. So much for being patient. It's coming out to be $465 shipped + $120 Curt hitch mount + whatever powder coat costs. I mocked up the spare and it's not that terrible, I can deal with it for the price. JW and other swing out mounts are $1100 + shipped at the moment.

Ironman 4X4 Nitro Gas lift is on and rides like a champ 👍🏼 The front is right in the 2.5” lift but the rear needs to settle down about 1/2” or so

We had some trouble lining up the bottom of the front struts to the mount, but nothing some wiggling couldn’t fix.
Alignment and BMC this week then hopefully hit some trails nearby soon.

Any recommendations for a in car jack solution What do you guys carry around on a daily basis?
The bottle jack won’t really work to change a spare on the road and I do not want to carry my big 3 ton one around.

I’m currently hauling around a few wood blocks to make it work but it’s pretty sketchy.

The way you shot this photo, the rear of your rack looks like its not attached to your roof ha.

You can get an aftermarket bottle jack that will be much more capable. Other wise, blocks are the way to go...

Pricey, but they seem to have good reviews. I may get one.

Looks good @brewsky! I'm still waiting on my ridge runner tire carrier from Detours of Maine. I ordered mine back in February. Hopefully it'll get here before I PCS next month. He has been having supply chain issues.

Damn, February! He did mention the supply issue, but also said he's got most of the parts/supplies for the style I'm ordering. Hopefully he gets all he needs asap.

Just sent Detours the final measurements. Looking at 6 weeks for the knucklebone style I am ordering. This in case anyone else is interested.
Also, ordered an entry level recovery kit today and looking for a deal on Maxtrax - Anyone have a hook up? :p

I just purchased mine on Amazon. Also, review which version of Maxtrax you're looking at.

Went out yesterday to a local forest in search of trails. Found mostly small gravel roads and some bumpier rocky paths. Overall a good afternoon.
Will have to go back once the hunting roads open up. There are definitely more challenging paths into the forest that aren't accessible right now.

This is at the Michaux State Forest (PA).

Are your tail lights the 2017+ Sport tails? I ordered a set for my 2021 but I am having trouble verifying whether or not they're plug n play.. My understanding is that you only need the new harness if it is an older 2nd gen and you're installing the 17+ tails.. Thanks! Honestly, this is probably my favorite build I've seen so far.. Clean. Nothing over the top. And I love the wheels!

Thank you!

I actually have a wrap over the tail lights. I wish I had the sport tails but decided against paying the premium

I’m not sure about the harness but I don’t think they changed in 2021.

Still waiting for Detours of Maine's tire carrier. In the meantime, here's a couple of pictures from this past weekend at Bald Eagle State Forest in PA. First time taking my dad out.

Got into a pickle here when we found this tree blocking the trail. We had to back up the hill (you can't really picture the slope we were dealing with) and head back up.
You can actually watch a video of someone else driving the exact same trail, right around 41:30 is where we found the downed tree.

Overall a good day, and happy I didn't make a dent on the rig navigating within inches of these trees.

That's why I like keeping a chain saw handy. ;)

Being a "westerner", I understand, that's why I have mine attached to the spare tire swing-out, so it's no higher than my RTT.
We do have our share of high country with low hanging branches. It's not all desert out here! ;)
But, yeah, some do, and I too, don't understand it other than needing better reception and not doing any "real" off roading.
