water as of yet. I think it still seals well.
Im going through the roof.....old school style. drill a hole, grommet, plastic waterproof box and Lexal silicone

need to stop jumping the truck I guess. Or get rid of the chromoly axle shafts and birfs and go back to stock ones so those break instead of the diff. Or do some REM and cryo treating of the gears so they hold up better. Or switch to one-ton axles and not worry about them anymore. More than one way to skin a cat, the cheapest of which is to stop driving like an idio
But then who will I be able to rally with?

I'm interested in your experiences with the Colight quality and light output — they have a combo driving light option I'm considering for my 60:
I've been really happy with both the quality and light output so far. I've had my 9" lasers for over a year now and installed the 4.5" CUBE's this past summer and they have honestly been as good as any light I've ever had. Time will tell about the long term durability but so far they have held up nicely.

I haven't tried their 3" combo that you linked so I don't know how the laser module in that one compares to the laser module that is in my 9" lasers. I imagine the module in the combo light is smaller and the projection lens is also smaller so it probably won't have the same distance as my large 9" lasers but for a small light I would expect it will be quite impressive.

That's good to hear. With the number of companies out there it can be hard to tell which ones are solid and perform to spec. Given the torture you put your truck thru I'd imagine a weak product would have failed by now.

is the 7950 lumens based on per pair or each?
I believe it's per light but I could be mistaken.

@cheeese
As far as the lights being as advertised, they state the 9" lasers I have can throw light a full mile. On a long straight road near our family cabin without light polution I can confirm I can see the spot from the lights at a mile distance. So based on that I would guess the other advertised specs are probably at least close to accurate.

.....i believe it...I have a set of Lightforce 240 Blitz and cast the same distance...State troopers do NOT approve, but I see the elk before they cross the fence....Never heard of this brand of light, still a Rigid roadie.

Spending a bunch of time in the desert with @Box Rocket I can confirm those lights are really nice. The laser 9” spots are particularly impressive. My LX is laden with a bunch of Baja design lights which I love, but I am considering going with some of these lights on my Cummins 80 when it goes back together.

I don’t think there is any light out there I’d trade my LP9’s for but I do like the price/value of Adam’s “light bar” set up on top and might duplicate that on my truck. Just not convinced I really need any more light.

My 3 LP9’s are bananas, love all my BD Lights but they sure are pricey. On my other 80, I might try there laser lights as the quality/value just makes sense.

ok, I gotta ask as I am most likely a bit older than tyou guys....whats the bananas?

I believe he's implying he really likes them because of their power, output and great design.

"Bananas" in this case being synonymous with "wild" or "crazy"

Bingo

Got my new headlights from Freedom Retrofits! Specs are glass lens DEPO housings (painted black). X3 Bi-LED projector for the primary headlight. Apollo 2.0 shrouds with Switchback halo. Multispot LED Spot high beams. Switchback halos are tied into running lights and blinkers, white backlighting with running lights and switch to amber blinkers with the turn signals. Really stoked about these! They've been on my list for a long time but good quality retrofits aren't exactly cheap so it took me a bit to put a little mod money aside for these. I haven't aimed them yet so the cutoff line will even out once I get them aimed properly.
Output is way better than the factory lights and also better than the LED bulbs I had been running in the stock housings for the past few years.

Still haven't aimed the lights properly in this photo. This was immediately after the install. Good cutoff, just need to be aimed.

wowoweewow

Can you snap a pic of what it looks like behind the light, installed? Would like to see what kind of batter clearance/etc remains.
