Those look beefy Adam. Let me know how you like them I need lowers soon.

Can even deliver them via nearest dealer last half of Feb for a Cruise Moab committee member, will be passing through.

One of the reasons I want 37's but I wish I didn't have to buy new wheels to do it. Can't find any 37's anymore for 16" wheels.
Trxus 37.00 x 12.50 x 16 Runing them on stock rims love them and a full 37" Still available. These tires are incredibly smooth on the road, balance well with little weight, and are excellent off road. Night and day difference over the creepy crawler that they replaced

Have you considered using the Tundra/Sequoia 17" wheel? That's a good solid wheel and looks nice on an 80 too plus they can be found for relatively cheap.

These are Tundra/Sequoia 17" wheels wrapped in 37's

I've looked that them. Not opposed to going that way, but there are several wheels I like better. And I really don't have a realistic justification for 37's other than for looks. My 35's work great, fit well, don't rub and don't require any other mods. If a really good deal on some 37's falls in my lap then I might make the change otherwise I won't bother until next time I need to replace tires. And see if I have the funds to pay for a new set of wheels at the same time.

Do you think that would push you towards another regear to 5.29s?

Not a chance. I'd be totally fine staying with the 4.88's. In fact I drove my last 80 for 15 years on 35's and stock gears. The current 80 had 35's and stock gears for almost two years before I regeared. I love the 4.88's with the 35's but I don't think the 37's would be enough to make me want to change gears again.

Besides, I'm eyeing @NLXTACY 's bolt-on Turbo kit so if I feel like I need more power (assuming I get 37's in the future) that will take care of it. :)

I have turbo dreams every night now.

So in an effort to experience and test the "complete" Slinky suspension I got a new set of rear control arms from Endless Horizon Outfitters that showed up yesterday. These are the Blackhawk arms from 4xOverland that are made for the Slinky kits. Lowers are beefy. Uppers will be easily adjustable on the truck.

From the EHO website.
  • 11mm Longer than stock
  • Factory type long life bushings
  • Direct bolt in
  • 1.650″ O.D. tubing
  • .120 wall thickness
  • Powder Coated Black
There are also standard length lowers. Looking forward to some testing with these.

Where can one get these? Also would be interested in cost.

Yeah the links @mryanangel posted will get you to the Blackhawk arms.

I had lunch with Darren McRae and Kevin Brown from EHO today in SLC and saw their trailer full of Slinky and Blackhawk parts so it’s a good time to order this stuff.

What made you change the rear links?

Box Rocket
Are those wheels true Bead Locks. I like the looks and I'm interested bead locks for my 16" Trxus tires

None of the SCS wheels are true beadlocks. OMF has converted quite a few sets of them but the price is insane!
