you want bigger form 37 anyway, otherwise its like driving on beanbags.
.
I agree. Bumping up to 17" wheels with 37's is better. I just gotta save more moneys for a new set of wheels to go with a new set of tires.

Those look beefy Adam. Let me know how you like them I need lowers soon.

Trxus 37.00 x 12.50 x 16 Runing them on stock rims love them and a full 37" Still available. These tires are incredibly smooth on the road, balance well with little weight, and are excellent off road. Night and day difference over the creepy crawler that they replacedOne of the reasons I want 37's but I wish I didn't have to buy new wheels to do it. Can't find any 37's anymore for 16" wheels.
These are Tundra/Sequoia 17" wheels wrapped in 37'sHave you considered using the Tundra/Sequoia 17" wheel? That's a good solid wheel and looks nice on an 80 too plus they can be found for relatively cheap.
I've looked that them. Not opposed to going that way, but there are several wheels I like better. And I really don't have a realistic justification for 37's other than for looks. My 35's work great, fit well, don't rub and don't require any other mods. If a really good deal on some 37's falls in my lap then I might make the change otherwise I won't bother until next time I need to replace tires. And see if I have the funds to pay for a new set of wheels at the same time.Have you considered using the Tundra/Sequoia 17" wheel? Not a chance. I'd be totally fine staying with the 4.88's. In fact I drove my last 80 for 15 years on 35's and stock gears. The current 80 had 35's and stock gears for almost two years before I regeared. I love the 4.88's with the 35's but I don't think the 37's would be enough to make me want to change gears again.Do you think that would push you towards another regear to 5.29s?
Where can one get these? Also would be interested in cost.So in an effort to experience and test the "complete" Slinky suspension I got a new set of rear control arms from Endless Horizon Outfitters that showed up yesterday. These are the Blackhawk arms from 4xOverland that are made for the Slinky kits. Lowers are beefy. Uppers will be easily adjustable on the truck.
From the EHO website.
- 11mm Longer than stock
- Factory type long life bushings
- Direct bolt in
- 1.650″ O.D. tubing
- .120 wall thickness
There are also standard length lowers. Looking forward to some testing with these.
- Powder Coated Black

Are those wheels true Bead Locks. I like the looks and I'm interested bead locks for my 16" Trxus tires
Not real beadlocks. But the ring does a great job protecting the valve stem.Box Rocket

Main reason is to complete the full slinky setup since it's all designed to work together. Wanted to do some testing on the Blackhawk arms as well. What made you change the rear links?
