Congrats Heather....good to see you got another offroad vehicle. Did you sell your PIG or just the FJC? If you need anything...give me a yell.

Dont worry I wont threaten to leave you stuck on side of hill or make you pitch your tent in the lowest spot in area during a rain storm and 40*F weather....LOL

Congrats again and good luck....sounds like you need to have your brother drive it out and then buy him a ticket home so he can see you. Otherwise shipping is not really that bad...I checked on it when I was going to do the diesel conversion on my 60 to Proffits in Colorado...cheaper than gas driving all that way for sure.

Congrats and welcome!

Heather and her brother are old timers here and her green star indicates she is one of the forum moderators (A different section). Thanks for the link, I'll have to check it at home. It's blocked from work.

BTW- I meant no slap. I would rasie a stubbie with you if I could

Not like I do much moderating these days. The Girl's Garage isn't exactly a hot spot! And I think I prefer long time members to "old timers." :)

I got a guy in Atlanta, who is just about to pull the trigger on a nice LX in Houston. Maybe you two could drive each other's rigs to a halfway point and then trade? PM me.

I'll email you.

Thanks! I haven't sold the pig yet, just the FJ. And yeah, that was cold night for sure!

Romer, no problemo mate! i've never noticed or perhaps seen the green star before!! So i was preaching to the choir!!
Thanks for the info! Hopefully i can get my silver star again next week now that i'm working again!
cheers

I barely ever post here. :P

Mod Update!

I've decided to go ahead with the mods before I even lay hands on the truck. I trust the guys at ACC to do me right, so we have parts on order. Here's the list:

Ironman Deluxe Commercial bumper (the first install on an LX in the US)
Ironman suspension
Metaltech sliders (rattle canned black)
Slee front diff drop
Potentially an ironman winch (as long as the bumper is off...might as well. Depends on the deal I get)
Goodyear Dura Trac tires (285X70X17)

I can't wait!

cool! I missed out that it had 17" rims on it. Nitto makes the Trail Grappler in 285/75/17, which seems like the perfect size tire for a cruiser - 285 width for clearance, chains, and handling (v 295 or 315), 75 aspect ratio for air down, and 34" overall diameter. 'course, if ya got the duratracs on order, they're awesome too!

I think they are 16s...

Definitely 16's.

Good looking 100 - we're just beginning to have AHC problems on our LX at 150k miles, so probably a good idea to go ahead and yank it out. Let us know what you think of the Ironman stuff.

I am running it on my Lexus GX470 and good results so far.

My car has 220,000 kms on the clock and still has the AHC without issues.
Mind you, I have the truck only 2 weeks and haven't used it.

Nice looking car.
I notice that you guys have standard roof rails.

So the lift, sliders, tires, and front bumper (with winch) are on. Diff drop will go on when it arrives. I still haven't laid hands on the truck and I can't wait to see it in person in a few weeks! All work by ACC and they are doing a great job!

Looks fantastic, Heather! Great choice of tires too, if I do say so myself...:D

Just saw your truck at ACC and yes , it looks nice !!! Almost sold me on the Ironman bumper , love the LED lights. Looks great !

I thought that was a ARB front bumper. I thought about driving down to see it, but it felt weird going to look at someone else's truck :meh:
