Is Ironman a Chinese Knock off, I think thats what everyone wants to know?

Emphatically NO. All of their products are designed and manufactured in house in australia. They do all their own R&D as well as Quality Control in house as well ( unlike some other brands).

I have said it before and will again. I have been nothing but impresses with the quality and performance of everything that we have installed of theirs.

ironman is NOT some recent johnny come lately...they have been around 50 years. We just are more used to ARB in the USA....but Ironman is a solid Aussie company with their own R&D and manufacturing...

Getting my new IronMan Deluxe Commercial bar installed on my LX next Friday. Can't wait.

I've heard of Ironman for a long time too, back to my dare I say Land Rover days, but its still not right to spray paint a Panda grey and call it a Koala Bear. If in fact, I know what I'm talking about.

I don't think that anyone is trying to promote a product inaccurately. If the stuff is high quality, then it's high quality. The company is Austrailian, and it's their design. Even if they outsource their production to bring us a less expensive product, I think they guys at ACC are qualified enough to tell us if something looks like it's well built. As long as the quality control is there, I really don't care where it's made.

Not saying any one is in fact they wont tell u where it is made on their website. But, They need to be upfront because alot of people see engineered and designed by and think that means built by. Its doing a disservice to places like Slee , Bump it , 4x4 labs , and ARB who engineer and are the manufacturers of their products. And by the way since when is a salesman a good measuring stick of quality? But Im glad you don't care where its made . I have some Iranian mud tires to sell you too.

Who pissed in your cheerios? ACC is a shop just like Slee, BIOR, etc. My only point was that they build alot of rigs and see a ton of products move through their shop. I think that makes them qualified to make an assessment about the overall quality of a product. I don't live in ATL and I don't buy products from them. The fact is though, other than Camel 4x4, they are one of the only other shops in the country (besides MT, I think they are it?) selling Ironman products right now. It's good to hear that Ironman appears to be putting out decent stuff at a good price.

If you want to take it personally, go ahead. In case you missed my sig line, I don't have any Ironman stuff. I do, however, have products from Slee, ARB, and OME on my rig.

You can keep your Iranian tires. My Goodyears are fine. :D

NO, I'm glad your not interested in the tires . Glad to hear about your gear. It wasn't you I was after, sorry, Just pissed off Michigan is losing to Ohio st.

Ugh, you and me both man. Not to entirely derail the thread...but I grew up in Toledo and my dad was born in Detroit. I grew up on Michigan football.

It's a closer game than I thought it would be, but if Robinson can keep his damn hands on the ball then we'll be ok. For the first time in 7 years....

So the lift, sliders, tires, and front bumper (with winch) are on. Diff drop will go on when it arrives. I still haven't laid hands on the truck and I can't wait to see it in person in a few weeks! All work by ACC and they are doing a great job!

i went by ACC today and saw your cruiser and thought how much I liked it. I thought they were open today but they were closed.

They are built in Thailand I think.

That is exactly how most of the mis-information in the Internet starts. I think.

Well, I can say that I did do some research, and everything I found on ironman indicated their stuff was designed and built in AUS. They are really very much like ARB, just not as well known. And personally, while I like ARB, they've been the big dog over here for a long time and I like supporting an alternative.

And thanks for all the compliments on the truck!

Well, I can say a bunch of s*** about a company with no real reason, or I can do this:

I have owned at least 4 sets of OME springs and coils. I have owned Alcans. I have owned Slee custom springs for an 80. I have owned ARB bumpers. I have owned Slee bumpers. I have wheeled the s*** out of all of it.

I own a GX470 with Iron Man 4x4 springs and shocks currently. They work. They don't just work a little, they work amazingly well. They took a beating, the spring rates are perfect so far, and the shocks are dampening without fade no matter what I have thrown at them.

Aside from conjecture and hearsay...does anyone have a set of Iron Man 4x4 equipment, on a truck they own, that doesn't perform well? Are you an installer, that once you installed Iron Man 4x4 equipment you or your customer found problems?

If you are not qualified to answer the above question you are simply not helping anyone learn anything about anything.

Don't be a troll, don't feed a troll.

Very well said.

I'm happy everything is working out for you. But The only point I'm trying to make is that the company should be upfront with where its made. No where on the web page I seen does it say made in anywhere . Only designed by or engineered by. Just make it easy for people to decide whether they want to pay their hard earned money on a product that is made by underpaid workers or from companies who try to pay their employees a descent wage to live off of. I'm happy your satisfied with your purchase. Didn't mean to step on anyone's feet here or to offend. All I asked was a simple Question.:meh:
