I really like the patina. It didn't have a working switch, but @oregon fj knew how to find one. And, it's NOS!

These worked for my Hupp install (but take it easy with the little clips, they are the weak part)

They also sell a kit with these and hose. I think I cut off the louver ends and used them to fit the hose to the stock defrost deflectors iirc.

Used the same lighted (when on) switch too!

I know this doesn't classify as a box heater but still it Toyota and a heater. Saw this puppy on e-bay. 1965 gas fed heater. From the description it says it's Toyota out of a sports. How cool would that be in a 25/40

So the fan drafts air in the top, and where it comes out is both round holes and all 3 louvered doors if they are open?

^yes

Don’t know if different hinges were used for FST doors than HT doors, so this might just be more noise, but here are pics of my ‘65 40 door hinge and ‘63 45 door hinge, respectively. They look the same and look like yours with the full length bead. FWIW.

@middlecalf, good to know.
Yes, there are soft vs hard door hinge differences. Soft doors with factory hinges are hand removable. They don't have a removable pin, they just drop in the unique body side of the hinge. I wonder if one of my soft door side "T" hinge was fabricated by a PO. There seems to be some difference in the quality of the welds.

What's this paint called? Does look like it was in use this year.

Kinda like it. This one doesn't quite match.

willow maybe?

Getting the soft doors ready for powder coating. I was surprised that most of the weatherstrip channel screws came out. Some needed extra persuasion. Got to see what the original canvas and paint both looked like, entombed under the channel.

Seeking inspiration to push on with these doors.

This is one from an FJ Company project.

However, that big blind spot bugs me. I agonize over any departure from stock, but I really like the fixed vinyl window Elite Cruisers added.

I think I could live with this subtle change.

This may be academic because I still don't know who in world makes an FJ25 style soft top for the rest of the vehicle.
Anyone have any leads?

I can ask Manuel for his original designs, he got is top handmade, he made notes for improvements, you've seen the results.

Thanks, but his was an earlier (A type) design. The main difference of the type I need is a wider canvas strip between the window and the door.
