I'd hate to have that "load" bouncing down the trail with me........ better seal that thing up tight or things could get "s***ty" real quick

camping when it's just me and the son and camping with the wife/daughter are completely different experiences

hey finally able to get on this dang thing been going all day. My buddy sam is riding with me and he doesnt get off work till 2. we are going to head up then so i reckon we will see you guys on the mountain. Safe travels. If anybody needs me to bring anything just give me a hollar 864-992-0990.

I am gettin stoked....headed to Dick's after work to pick up a few camping items....plan to leave early in the am....Henley is excited too.
ok so i made it back early. We get up there and hit the trail.
up the trail a little further then there was trouble!! A full size bronco that was built to the teeth lost its fuel pump. We were able to hook them up with some gas to pour into the carb to get it out of the way.
so we finally make it into the campsite and there are people everywhere. Most of the tents belonged to a group of hikers who left soon after we arrived though. Then the rain began. An the wind that never ceased to blow.
jimbo and his friend sam arrived later that night. We hung out and ate hotdogs. Then i froze my hams off because i forgot my sleeping bag and only had some crappy blankets.
Saturday we hiked into shining rock. I am waiting on some pics from the others on this one. We had a great time and when we got back chuck was there with henly waiting on us to return. No rain saturday but got down into the 40's that night. Did i mention i forgot my sleeping bag. Finally sunday morning batman came to save the day.
I did not have a chance to go exploring with the other guys so hopefully they will find some uber cool spots for us to explore in the future.
Had a great time this weekend...Henley loved every minute of his first camping trip...it was great being back in the outdoors, been too long.

Glad you guys had fun, hate I missed it cause it was hot as Hell here in Augusta this weekend.... 100 degrees both days and you guys are complaining about it being cold up there. Not fair!! Looks like you had to share the mountain with a few others. Did you run into an blue berry picking hippies??
