so i plan on bringing the following: 2 packs weiners, 2packs of hd buns, 2 packs of hb buns, ketchup, mustard, and beans. Someone needs to get hamburger patties and such.

you can definately bring you own food!!!
if you don't like hot dogs/hamburgers feel free to bring whatever you want. If you don't have a grill/stove mine will be avalible for anyone to use.
but if you wanna eat "community grub" some italian or brautwurst(spelling?) sausages or some chips/types of snacks would be cool.
figure we'll be cooking friday evening, saturday evening and probably snacks/sandwichs for lunch on sat and sunday.

We almost never do burgers and/or dogs while camping...We eat better than if we went to a fancy restaurant. Not hard to do, either...just use your imagination.
I am planning on bringing Henley, my 2.5 yr old so dohc it would be great bringing your 3 yr old, they'll entertain eachother....ok I have looked at the directions and after you turn off the BRP onto FS816 where do you go from there....sounds like there are a few other roads off 816. I went thru today and reorganized my gear, repacked cruiser gear....gettin psyched up for this trip!
i need to be home no later than one. My daughter gets baptized that evening. I can't miss that.
i coordinate with dohcdelsol because i do not have the equipment he has. I am just now getting into camping. Jimbo if u are gonna meet josh and i at my house pm me and i can give u my address.
Chuck it couldn't be any easier.... just follow FS816 for about 1.5 miles after leaving the BRP and the paved section will end at a parking lot and you can only continue past the parking lot by taking the 4x4 trail. Trust me you can not miss it there are no turns or side roads. Same goes for once you are on the trail it pretty much is a shelf road hugging the side of the mountain its whole length.... not turns, no forks in the road you just follow it all the way in until you find the rest of the gang. If you get lost here you have all of your Boy Scout badges stripped
Wish I could go with you guys. Make sure to take pics. I'll be east of you in the mountains as well. Staying up with family in Linville this weekend and gonna try my hand at fly fishing.

My 3yr old will be there. He's staying at my moms in pickens tonight so i don't have to drive all the way from down town to simpsonville and then back across greenville to head up 183 to Gabe's.
I would prefer steaks, shrimp, low country boil, boiled crab, or even a huge oyster roast (yummy) but i can't really dedicate a heck of a lot of time cooking with a 3 yr old to chase after.
If anyone really wants to do fancy just let me know before hand.
On trips like this i like to pack/eat lite since whatever you take in you have to take out.

i have the shop caught up so i am now officially OFF all day tomorrow!!!
