A few play pictures today. It rained and the truck is dirty but you get the idea. I'm swapping in a "proper" factory radio in place of the aftermarket Pioneer. Nothing against that radio but it has tiny buttons that are double-difficult to navigate whilst driving on the opposite side of the truck....

That's easily the 2nd best looking BJ74 in the country. :D
Why are you replacing that classic radio?

I put the big one in. That is an OEM unit. It is in there now and playing happily away......

It will be closer to the best looking one (blue/grey I believe, somewhere in the south) when the Turbo emblems and decals land.......:grinpimp:

Oh, I have to cut an inch of the front of the welded on sliders to put my front mud flaps on.....:crybaby:

Sweet! Will it play on both sides? It is an auto-reveres deck afterall.

Unfortunately I can remember when "8 Track" players were cool. The cassette hadn't been invented yet. Sad I know ....... :D

I still have an 8 track that actually works. The only tape that still works is Grand Funk Railroad....American Band......

I had that thing in my 1977 Celica Liftback. The shift knob from that Celica now lives on in the BJ74......

I am so jealous.

I wanted the 8 track in my 77 corolla wagon!

A crappy cell phone shot from this afternoon. I cut the sliders back to fit the front mud flaps and I fitted a brand new OEM grille.

That looks great. Really impressed at how fast it got done!

Looking forward to some nice sunny day pics

I have been driving it to work looking for issures. None so far. On to interior clean up and two way radio equipment. I still have to fab a temporary rear bumper pending arrival of the Kaymar from OZ. The all black left rear door glass weather strip arrived from Yan last night.
