Ok I just got home after a long week of setting up airport screening stations at Bush international. My half shroud came in. Looks like it's going to fit if I just rearrange a few minor things. I'll probably order the other half to be as efficient as possible.

Plan is to get the shroud on to fight high temps and keep the AC going for the summer.

I'll take better pics tomorrow when i start working on it..

Been traveling a lot lately for work. Decided to delegate the shroud/AC repair to land cruiser specialist in Austin. Will have to remove the new turbo waste gate to get the AC hose to fit. Not a big deal since I'm using a boost fooler to pretty much shut the waste gate.

In other news, lil red is also getting work done. Decided its time for an engine rebuild.

There she goes

Still working on it, I think Shawn hates me now. Can't wait to come back in a year and tell him I want the innercooler on the inside of the engine bay so i can add fans to the condenser.

Shroud is on, AC is working. Had to take off the small turbo waste gate to make room.
Drove it home doing 70mph with the AC running. Engine temps stayed at 190* F the entire way.

They’ve taken over parts of Seattle
I know, my friends are working that area. I was in Houston until yesterday. Can't wait to see what July brings.

To truly appreciate order, you must let chaos reign.

So coming up on an oil change and debating what to put in there. I've used Shell Rotella, Valvoline with the big C logo, and Mobil Delvac without issues. I tend to add a quart of oil additives from either Lucas or STP.

Now, I'm trying to decide if I should go full synthetic for the longevity, the turbos, and the Texas heat. What are you guys with the 4BTs running/recommend?

Mike, where'd you get your small turbo? I'm looking to turbo my 1HZ and the Holset HX30W with 6cm exhaust housing and 44mm compressor is what I'm looking at.

Yes, but might not fit Johnny. That's why I was looking at the 44cm one.

@davegonz

Got it from this guy

Local to Austin, saved on shipping and was cheaper than anywhere else I looked.

After driving around for a couple of blocks with the AC on. Will have to see how it does on a long distance trip.

Damn Mike, those guys have awesome prices.

Did you have to order and wait? It looks like the Holset stuff isn't currently available.
