No it didn't I was really expecting it to give me that reading.
That's a shame. I had a Scangauge II in my 4Runner and it gave trans temp (thought it was usually ~10 degrees off from my standalone AEM trans temp gauge). I wanted to get the Ultragauge (cheaper, shows more readouts at once, more customization it seems) but trans temp was the main reason I wanted it.

I also did the gas strut mod yesterday and really like it. My only complaint is with the provided studs (I just got the regular metal ones, whatever those are). I threaded it in with my hand until it stopped spinning then used a ratchet to turn it about 1/2 turn more and the thing snapped off. I was able to back it up enough to dremel a slot into the top so I could extract it, but still a pain. Luckily I ordered 4 of the studs.

I think the ultragauges will read whatever the manufacturer is generating a signal stream for. Check with Ultragauge's tech support, and they will tell you if the trans temp can be read. I know on the 80 series, that signal stream isnt sent

How was it drilling for the screws to that trim piece? I want to mount my HAM radio face plate their.

I was actually worried about that before I posted a request from those who have had the console out. I was somewhat assured that there was enough room back there to drill and not hit a wire loom or something. So, I know for the 4 tiny holes I drilled I went very shallow (By using tape on the bit to barely go through the plastic) and didn't hit anything. I gambled. Depending how deep your intending to go into the panel you may want to pull the console to be sure. I hear it's easy. Anyone else have insight into how much room is behind the panel discussed?

My version of the DIY rear door handle. I used a stainless steel plate as a backing then painted the hardware black. The paracord handle is from a company called Bartact, they have a ton of color combinations to choose from but the only bummer is that you have to order two- I sold the other one to a GXOR member along with another steel plate. The khaki color is a good match to the ivory interior.

Thanks for posting this! Now that I have seen it I am just going to get the flat nylon strap and punch in some grommets at the ends for next to nothing. I am sure the paracord has a nice feel to it but I am just too cheap to shell out $25 for a handle although it is much better than $40 for the stock replacement that will break again.

The OE handle is $19.xx from mylparts.com. :)

Thanks again Scat, hoping to get it installed this weekend! (Im on here too)

Yes it is! I did new hood struts a couple of weeks ago from liftsupportdepot. Now I don't have to use a stick to keep the hood up while working in the engine bay.

 I just realized that disconnecting those lift struts and putting a stick probably would have made the ditch light install much easier for one person with just a pair of hands. Ha! Heind sight is 20x20

If someone had video of me installing the ditch light brackets it would be very funny. I had my hands full. You can imagine my dismay after completing the drivers side and realizing it the ditch light bracket was supposed to go on top of the hood mount and not the bottom.

Cobra 75 WX XT cb radio, right at $100, tucked the module under the seat;

Keep it coming!

I have the same radio in the same location. Great little radio. Just got to find a mounting spot for my Baofeng Handheld now. I'm trying to avoid cutting/drilling interior. I want to keep things inside as stock as possible.

Not sure if this has been covered, but WeatherTech Universal Mats for front, middle, and cargo...$80 for the entire set at Costco in-store. It's not a custom fit, but you cut them yourself and it's good enough. Rubber is nice and supple..she said.

My buddy that I went wheeling with this past weekend was missing the rear handle as well so we just went in on an order for the pair of handles.

Do you think large washers would do the trick instead of a hole plate of scrap metal?

@Bluetribal Right on! I'm trying to remember exactly how the backside looks but I'm pretty sure large washers would work instead of a metal plate.

PS- Still waiting to see that drop down camp table haha

Cheers
