beautiful TOYOTA side stripes for 80 series (pics)

Hi every one

my name is Hamad and I'm from Saudi Arabia.

I noticed that your cars ( especially from the US ) don't have any original strips

on the sides. In Saudi Arabia every 80 series comes from Japan with original strips

manufactured by Toyota. I will provide you with some pics:

Retro and interesting- always loved the look on 60's / 40's - but horrible for maint/cleaning - and wheeling one rub and you have paint/mixed w/ sticker - not so bad w/ clearcoat but still a PITA

Ohhh, those steelies, oh and the barn doors... I Miss all that !

In my opinion, the side strips are not the best touch to accent an 80, they are interesting, also help identify the year model but they are not for me...

Of all the top pics I think the most tolerable one was the 95-96... I can probably live with those.

The hood ornament... yikes!!

they came from the factory.

Welcome (mud salute) It's always interesting to see the small differences Toyota added for different markets.

The most tolerable IMO is the 94 for both steelies and stripe design.

And notice the 94 and up have the corner ladder.

Cool pics of the side stripes, the saudi cruisers didnt come with fender trim like all north american cruisers did, also it looks like ambulance doors and chrome door handles, as well as full float rear axles on the pre 93 models.

Did the 91-92 models have optional lockers and rear discs?

Im digging the stripes!! Kinda retro but cool!
