Awesome thread, truck and dog.

Tor did my 5.3 wagon swap and it was the best thing I ever did.

PS I live on Whidbey Island if you ever need a private camping ground, easy fishing or long-term storage for your rig (barn/warehouse on property).

V8! She's here! Brand new Chevy 5.3L e-rod LC9

New 4L65E transmission going in with the rebuilt stock Toyota transfer case

Tor wheeling the engine out to install the last few accessories

Bolting on the starter

New motor mounts welded and painted on the frame

Engine side mounts Tor fabricated, still needing their final welds

There also was some weird guy at the shop today? He was power washing someones engine...dunno ;)

Man, my dreams will be filled with possibilities as I slumber. This setup will be amazing!

Why not an NV4500 or H55f/ranger?

This is AWESOME!!!!

Ps. Think twice about the K&N cold air intake... they tend to eat MAF sensors for lunch and poor filteration of fine dust.

I've had an H55F in my truck for awhile now and I do like the idea of keeping that slice of Toyota in my truck, but after wheeling with my buddies FJ62 I'm def looking forward to easier drivability and not shifting all the time....but both those transmissions are great! A bunch of folks use 'em

Lokar shifter is great you'll love it.

The fj62 air canister and custom intake seems to be the best way to get clean air into the engine.

I have a GM air filter housing and intake tube that works but it BARELY fits and it takes up the space i need to run dual batteries. So I'll be going the the 62 housing soon.

The shifter is a recommendation from Tor, I love how it looks, quality seems top shelf. Will let ya know how it works out when I start using it!

Theron, make sure Tor gives me credit for the Lokar shifter....mine was the first one he put in. :)
