For long term parking I’ve used a solar panel with an Obd plug in the past.

My vote is to just disconnect the battery if you don't have a way to trickle charge it. Non lithium batteries don't like being constantly ran down.
Just my 2 cents…my lx470 duralast autozone battery (regular wet cell) was replaced last year with a toyota truestart and it was ~ 5.5 years old and was running perfectly fine. Reason for replacement was changed of starter and alternator so might as well replaced the battery, i was supposed to get agm duralast but my parts guy offered me truestart at $127 out the door with good warranty. Just to add another data point about duralast agm, my other car (seldomly use) had a duralast agm that lasted almost 7 years before giving up the ghost, replaced it with sam’s club duracell agm june of last year.
I just swapped my Interstate 27F that failed under warranty for a MTZ-34R AGM plus the dollar difference. Stopped at Interstate store in Georgetown, TX.
This thing has a 4 year free replacement warranty and hopefully is worth it. Came with a bottom spacer to fit. Nice looking battery.

You may want to look into one of the “voltage boosters” to get the most out of your AGM battery…

AGM batteries have a slightly different charging profile, the voltage booster “tricks” the charging system into providing more voltage, so the AGM battery can reach “full charge”. It’s less ideal than a modern charging system, that has the built in intelligence to deal with an AGM battery, but it’s better than never getting beyond a partial charge.
Not that I’ve noticed.

I’ve only used the “MK3 Mini blade 7.5A (Electronic fuse version)”, as it made the most sense to me, YMMV.
Another option that has proven successful for me is to use a charger once a week like the NOCO. I have been using this method on my T4R where I have a group 31 in the starter location and run a fridge 24/7. Going on 6 yrs now with that configuration.
I actually installed it where the 2nd battery would be and ran the plug end over to the grill that way I can plug in conveniently when needed.

I'm really happy with my Group 27 Deka Ultimate (Standard not AGM) it was reasonably priced ($170 IIRC) and is providing a lot of cranking power.
