I soaked this nut in diesel for 3 weeks and still I couldn't get it off. Time for plan B, zip cut the nut partially.

And for tomorrow? Maybe a front axle rebuild??

PS I just ordered brand new 32x11.5 r15 KM3 BFG muds. $$$ I have 500$ left in my 10g budget.

Wow you hoped right into it!!!

Havent been on in a week or so and bam!

What drill bits are those? Looking for a good set.
Those drill bits suck. I've bought the big kit from Canadian tire when its on special, way better although still crap.

And to be honest, the seals don't look the best quality. 1/3rd of the price compared to OEM.

Did you pick those parts locally or online?

I’ll need to rebuild a front axle for mine in the next 2-12 months (to be realistic).
Wow the link I send you is 60-70$ more than what I payed. The must have just hiked up the price?

I also welded this little half rotten signal light support back on before I applied any short strand.

Sure would be sweet to have a car lift and a sand blaster to remove all this flaky undercoating. Do you guys have any preferred method of tackling this job?

That.^^^.....I went to local rental place last week, they rent a dustless sandblaster for day or however long and you pay for 'media'.
But this one needed a #3500 psi power washer - hence the dustless part. I havent' looked for just a sandblaster to rent but I do
want to tackle the bottom of the 60. Don't use that rubberized undercoat, thats my only advice. primer and paint.
I'm going to look for that epoxy marine paint that seems to stand the test of time.

I was just noticing, that ultra rare very straight factory bumper. Nice! Do you have an 8274 to stick on there?

The stock bumper must have been destroyed along time ago. This is just a "c" channel with the wings bent in. I have no money for a winch but if you have one to give away I would take it.

I will look into a dustless sandblaster. Now I just need an outside hoist.

Any mobile glass bead blaster businesses down there? That stuff is inert. Usually they have small diameter nozzles for getting into frames and crevices. You could get the rest with air tools like a descaler. Spend a bit on paint.

I use a guy up here. It’s pretty cheap for what you get. If that makes sense

Not heard of any mobile guys. Long time ago, it was too pricey for me to consider. Maybe times have changed.

That bumper looks good anyhow, let me look in the corner of the shed, it scares me what I've accumulated in there.
You're not planning to sell this thing soon are you?
