Is the 1hz short block # 11400-17120 superseded to 11400-17013 or is there a distinction I'm oblivious to?

These last ones are not available in the US market but they are available off-line from Toyota. Good to know they are still available.

My standard model BJ70-MR did not have a clock. But the cut out is there and the wiring harness is back there too. Cool. Basically, just need to get a clock assy and install.

Different on the troopies it seems. Should have caveated my part by saying it is for a shorty.

Looks like your integrates the LH upper striker as well.

Try: 69470-60020 Should integrate the bracket as well as the striker assy.

Edit: Just spoke to my friendly Toy parts guy and he will do a return on the wrong part and has put the new one on back-order from Japan !

I suppose, I ordered a handful of them and zero issues and then a no-go, I'm told quantities are an issue with some of the out of market parts. I.e. order 1 and it may skip thru, order 10 and they'll catch it. Any truth to that?

Hello,

Not exactly a US-specific issue, but I think it is worth posting.

I just replaced the fuel tank cap in my FZJ73. Proper 70 Series replacement is 77310-35070.

When ordering a replacement, the part number overlapped with 77310-48010. A picture is below.

A further search showed that this cap is used on a few Toyota models, most notably the Camry, Corolla and the Hilux.

It might be possible to order this part from Toyota in North America without upsetting those guys in Torrance.
