Tearing it down again isn’t high on the list of priorities at the moment. The thought of it being grease makes it easier to ignore.

Spent some time constructing a harness for the glow plugs, bleeding pump/injection lines. After a little over 2 years of me cleaning and replacing parts, it fired off this morning! What a great feeling. Made a video, but not sure how to post it. Here’s a picture anyway.

A little progress. Got my radiator back from the shop. Core too old and fragile to repair, so opted for a re-core. Same shop cleans and seal fuel tanks. Dropped the tank from my 73 (Coyote) to get cleaned for AuPig. Found this cool sticker on the gas tank from back in the day.

Guess it’s been over a year since there’s any sign of progress. Fell down the 60 rabbit hole working on my $1000 82. Trying to get it roadworthy for my son. The chassis saver paint has held up pretty well in the elements. Hope to get it back inside and start back on it this month.

Another year has passed. Managed to get chassis back into shop. Discovered the adapter plate from 4x4 labs wasn’t on correctly. The top of adapter is flush with Benz block. The lower portion sits out enough to slide a matchbook cover into. Looks like I get to take it down and figure out where I screwed it up. Thinking lower bolts are too long, and pushing it away from block. In the meantime, I’m still down a rabbit hole with my Sprinter van interior build. Will this pig ever see the road again? It’s been off of the road since 1991!

It’s been on my mind a lot lately to bail on all my cruisers. Getting harder to motivate as my wife’s care is requiring more time. At 72 how much more can I accomplish?

As much as you can. I have 3 vehicles and only driving 1 because of the list on the other 2. Weather and no garage are a big factor. Just like I tell the wife when she talks about the vehicles, build a garage and you wont see them 🤔🙂. I noticed the Vroom, vroom chair in the 55 🤣

Well this was to be the wife’s, She picked it out at Classic Cruisers when we lived out there and Meryl still owned it. Hard to toss in the towel just yet. Besides, stuff doesn’t seem to be selling now anyway. Have had a hardtop for a 40 and my 85 4Runner listed for months and no takers. As far as the body goes, it’ll buff right out ya know! 😂
