Got a good start on rebuilding our garden, the property is mowed, so I rewarded myself. Spent some time in the garage. Pretty good storm going on outside. Inside Pink Floyd station on Pandora and enjoying my solitude. Getting closer to finishing the front end. Still need to finish cleaning the hubs up. Got the head cleaned up and ready to put back on. A fairly productive couple of hours before heading in to fix dinner . Glad my wife is healthy, and stable enough to encourage me to get out there.

I’m really pleased with it so far. Once cured it is resistant to all the solvents I’ve gotten on it. Haven’t seen any chipping or peeling either. Of course it’s just sat inside on my lift since application. Used the silver on my Airstream steps ,front frame, and battery tray. It’s holding up great in all this rain we’re getting.

The problem with downtime is surfing on the interwebs. Decided I needed to probably look at my front main seal, since the engine is still on the stand a year+ later. Definitely needs attention. Ordered a new seal and while waiting, looked at turbos. Now a new one is on the way. Still working on cleaning up the valve cover. Somehow this has morphed into a polish job. Why you might ask? It’s just a valve cover, that will be in an engine compartment mostly unseen. I guess it’s something I can control . My wife’s stroke and now Covid-19 has reminded me how unpredictable and fragile life can be. So I polish a 37 year old valve cover in an attempt to get a say in things. My time is spent sitting with my wife for 6-12 hours a day, might as well be productive. Maybe at some point, I’ll be at a show and shine pig party!

A detailed valve cover is a shoe in for points at the show & shine. I thought I had it wrapped up with the cadmium plated window gears, but not now.
