Did you have two nuts per J-hook? The second one is a locknut. Most that I see only have one, which causes the hook to tear the plastic battery tray and loosen.

I was using a lock washer instead of double nut but hook on passenger side tears the plastic tray and tie down comes loose.

Nice Rig - what a rejuvenation!

Do you have a lift kit planned?

Thanks. I haven’t made up my mind yet. But somewhere between 2” to 3”. I have a 1” body lift on it. It’s very capable at stock height. After doing bumpers, approach/departure angles are better than my lifted 200 series.

I was greasing the driveshaft and noticed excessive play in the front driveshaft. It turns out the u-joints are worn. New replacement moog joints are ordered. I will replace them on both driveshafts.

Installed blue fan clutch last weekend and made a good difference in controlling coolant temperature.

Were you running hot before? Just for the record, what radiator do you have installed?

I am still running stock radiator but had an fan clutch that I bought from eBay. It was waste of money.

Those ICON caster bushings did not provide the proper caster spec on my truck. I ended up going back to stock bushings and Landtank 2.5 plates. Drivability is much better with factory bushings and plates.

After adding sliders, I lost about an inch. I will monitor it and see if I need to switch to a different solution. I like caster plate design than the offset bushing.

I decided to go with the Delta front control arms with OEM bushing to go with Icon 3" lift. Also, placed an order for the rear Panhard lift bracket.

Installed Slee ss brake lines, 100 series front brake pads and painted sliders.
