Anyone build a Soft top for a 45?

It was typical paki fit and finish, not great, but not many options back then. I find it hard to believe with the tech we have now, someone cant punch in some cad dimensions and spit out bows and a soft top seriously why is this not done?

Not sure. I only had it on the one time and never drove with it on. I'd like to give it another shot, but just haven't had the time to do it. I'm limited on space at my house and have too many other projects going. I haven't even pulled the top off my 45 this summer yet. Probably the first time in the 20 years that I've had it that I didn't pull the top off for the summer.

I was thinking, if the soft top worked out, I'd probably not put the hard top on at all. I'd have to find a spot to store the hard top though. Probably take it apart so it took up less space and stick it in the rafters or something.

Whity45 says it was made in Pakistan, I have seen some Pakistan FJ products in the pass and they are fairly crud made. What year were they made.
From some of the photos posted it looks not be a big deal to make the frame the hardest part is the fab of the canvas top.
I am not in favor of drilling holes to hold down the top with footman braces so I am looking into Velcro or a rail like some Jeep tops use.
Would like to see your top on Qwyhee but I understand that time and space issue myself.

I made two sets of bows for two 45 builds I did a while back. Basically took the real steel full set and cut it down in the rear.

Trolhole - What is the method use to retain the side cover to the rear of the door post (just behind the door). Very cool.
