Convoy etiquette

We travel with some serious ...ahem....freeway
challenged members. Best rigs for some things
aren't for other things. You wouldn't run off and
leave a stocker on the trail would you?
I like a relaxed pace in a Coach too. Nice scenery.
I got all day. I'll bring some tools, Fm walkie talkies,
and cell phone...and pasta. ;)

Yo Alan, when do you want us to arrive at your place?
This should be quite a convoy. :grinpimp:

Since BBQ will be ready by 5:00 I would suggest we leave no later than 4:00. So you may want to shoot for a 3:30 meet. By 4:00 we should be good to go....maybe before.:)

Scouting party

see you gentlemen there......... have a safe trip!!!

We're depending on our scouts. Ya'll be safe. LOL...I'm glad El Prez is
scouting so as to keep the wild boys under control. :zilla: Take plenty of pics
and get us some GPS co-ordinates for entry, exits, points of interest, camp sites, etc.
We'll keep an eye out for the scouts and save vitals and beverages.

Good to hear I'm not the only young-gun, but will bring a buddy with me to keep me company on the long haul up there. Can't wait to meet some of you guys, and it'll be nice to see horsehead again.

I'm still looking for a ride around the clemson area.

I believe chuck is going and also Gehn might be, richard is planning of riding with one for the two........

you can call richard at 864 650 2360 or chuck at 864 367 3000

hope you can make it

Final Details:

I am headed out to buy Pork and such, so here is what I know:

1. About 20 folks (exact number not needed)

2. David H. is bringing pasta

3. Trollhole is bringing Coleslaw

4. Someone is bring plates, forks, etc.

5. JP is bringing his GI Joe with Kung Fu grip.:grinpimp:

While I am sure everyone has found directions to my house on Mapquest, here are some clues and landmarks.

1. It takes about an hour and 20 minutes to get to my house from Greenville.

2. Once you get on I- 26, stay on I-26 even when it starts saying "Future 26."

3. My exit is 19 ("A" I think), and the signs call this the "Marshall Exit."

4. My house is only 1 1/2 miles from that exit.

5. After taking exit 19, you will go THROUGH 2 stop lights. I am the first left (through the median) after those two lights.

6. You will know its the correct place to turn for two reasons:
- There is a Century 21 Office with a Time and Temperature sign out front.
- Someone has parked an old '67 Land Rover there trying to sell it (good luck).

7. After you make this turn, I am the second road on the left. After you turn on my road, you will cross over a creek and probably see a bunch of land cruisers. Oh yeah, the smell of hog roasting. That would be the spot.

If lost, call me on my Cell 828-606-9689.

Please bring a camp chair and some WARM CLOTHES. It will be rather COOOL tomorrow night and we have a steady NW breeze up here right now. No rain predicted, so no need for an EZ up.

I plan on bringing my 2-way radios. Please bring them if you have 'em.

Gehn, You should have seen the smoke pour off that tractor trailor's tires when you about cut him off on Hwy 25 almost by Hwy 11... It was crazy! Haha.. I was a little scared for you there.

Had a great time ya'll... Turkeypen, your bbq is amazing! Can't wait for the expidition trip in a few weeks. Ya'll are a crazy crowd.

Had a great time. Thanks D2 for the BBQ. Next time I see you I'd like to give you a couple of bucks also. I know cooking BBQ isn't cheap. And by the way it has my seal of approval. I'll post pics of the event tomorrow along with the cruiser parts grave.

Thankyou for the great food and for making everyone feel so welcome.

This event exceeded my expectations! The Rookie comes in to bat and hits a grand slam on his first swing!

Thanks to David and Jen for their warm hospitality. It was a really fun turn-out with lots of cruiser talk and fellowship.

The BBQ and Ribs were A+++! This trip was well worth the trouble and gas! and the :cough cough: speeding ticket :cough cough: TurkeyPen, thanks for letting us eat all your great food and make our tracks at your place!

(The 40 guys were suposed to get the tickets, not me..grrrr!!!)
