Is it a photo shoot, or a video shoot? Either way, congrats, very exciting! And with the beautiful backdrop of the mountains behind you, I was reminded of this very well shot & produced short video about a guy's companion / FJ40 that I saw years ago and looked at my wife (back then) and said "One of these days I've got to get one of those!" Check it out:

This video definitly pushed me over the edge as well. After that I KNEW I wanted a 40.

Holiday edition.

I guess.

I thought you saw the “big” runoff flows coming and were trailering the 40 to the takeout spot, leaving the truck and trailer, then driving the 40 to the farthest upstream reaches, where just a moist trickle comes from a cracked rock. Follow that down, fishing and eating 3lb mosquitos as you go until the trickle becomes a floatable waterway and filling the inflatable drift boat you’d been packing along. From there, you’d spend your days deep in “match the hatch” casting and high ABV beers until you had service to share the adventure and we could all wish that we too, lived in Illinois, where rugged wilderness like this is in such abundance.

Maybe he’s in Nebraska? Midwest all looks the same…. Majestic rolling mountains, wild rivers, wildlife abound, etc. Nothing like the boring, flat northwestern states.

Oh man, that would be a GREAT day!

Happening now!

Did they know how to drive a stick, or did you have to teach them? And at least if you are running the transmission from the FJ60 you talked about in the first post of this thread you made it easier for them. I can just picture them trying to shift one of the old 3 speeds with no syncro. LOL
