I wish I was fishing there. It is stinkin' HOT here!

Anyone out there with an FJ40 with the OEM toolbox under the driver's seat running a ProCar Seat? And if so, did you get the adapter brackets from them, or due to being backordered did you make your own?

Same here man way too hot in WV, I've been busy with work and a baby, but if I wasn't I probably would get out in the heat and fish!!!! I have Corbeau Seats in my FJ40 and kept the OEM Toolbox, but welded up a custom frame that spans the box and tank and bolts down on either side.

Throwin' big stuff on the Root?
Medium sized stuff actually.

#12 green drakes, and #14 PMDs. Work got in the way of chuckin big salmonfly dries.

Spotted at a Toyota dealership while my oldest daughter was buying a 23 Tacoma.

There was no production model 2005 FJC, though a concept was shown in Chicago in 2005 and previously in Detroit in 2003. First models produced were Jan 2006.

Looks like some of those are concepts and one off vehicles.

The picture they used is a 2011 or so in Citadel Blue with the newer alloy wheels. The concept was much goofier looking 🤪

I remember seeing the concept on paper then in person at the 05 Internat. auto show which let us to buy one. Toyota's concept to reality was one of the quickest "concept to reality" builds. We had an 4/06 build officially titled as 07 for 14 years until life changed. Never thought we'd sell it but kids were driving/commuting 45 mins across the bridge in SF Bay Area and needed something with as few blind spots. I did find it for sale later in San Jose, got the ok to buy it back from the boss but the seller was trying to money for the mods I had done to it before trading it in. (I ordered Metaltechs 1st out the door sliders in black, OME lift, sound system, etc and his pics were of when he bought it from the stealership). But in the end, I finally got our 40 after searching for close to 20 years. :)

Might need to drive over to the river and see how these work.

If the water drops back to a semi-normal flow I'll be posted up in the 40 down by the river tonight.

I've still got Metaltech's prototype sliders on my FJC. They got raffled off at the first FJC Summit. The winner didn't want them, so I bought them off him for $250. Mark drop shipped them to me in my signature red.

I've been fishing since I could walk and hold a tiny fishing rod & reel, fresh water and salt water, but I have never been fly fishing. I've wanted to try it for a long time. It looks amazing! Magical!

It ain't always tacos and tequila.
