Go OEM, Don't leave a question under the hood. You can find parts at cost all over the internet or if you bring your toyota dealers parts manager a 6 pack he/she will likely hook you up at cost.

That said, I posed the exact same question when I did my Head Gasket / engine rebuild. And the best tip I got was this:

"When thinking of going with a non Toyota Part ask yourself 'how easy is it to replace this part?' if it's a belt or hose then maybe it makes sense to buy aftermarket, however if it is your timing chain or crank shaft bearing etc then maybe not."

The premise is to think about it in a way where you expect the non OEM part to fail, if that failure can result in a complete stranding / debilitating break down then go OEM.

For example, all of the parts in my engine (pistons, rings, bearings, fan clutch, oil pump, gaskets, fuel pump and filter, knock sensors) are OEM. My fan belts, hoses, charcoal canister, cats, intake tube are aftermarket. If you categorize the list above into easy or hard to replace you'll see that the parts I've chosen to go OE with are easy to reach, change and usually won't leave me stranded. Plus I usually cary spares for those.
