My buddy James and I decided to go to Wahtum Lake instead of to the Tilly Jane work party, it was just too hot.

The amazing drive over Lolo Pass

Descending down the Wahtum Lake ExpressTrail for a quick overnighter.

Kids looking for crawdads.

They see some as soon as they reach the lake and by the time my gear is set at camp I was off to catch some.

Wahtum Lake is a rich lake with huge crawfish and Brook Trout but you get the big ones you need a float tube.

The Wahtum Lake Express Trail drops several hundred feet in about a 1/4 mile from the trailhead.

The kids enjoy crawdads just as much as I do.

Because we caught so many large ones we let otherwise keepers go.

Abundant mtn Huckleberries, fish and crawdads in August, you can live off the land here.

Yesterday’s rain and it getting dark earlier sure makes it feel like fall here in Oregon. Left friends and it was dark enough to use the LED lights on the front 4plus bumper.

Headed out of Thursday night to work on the property. Again loaded for non stop work through Monday.
Friday was getting 23 yards of gravel delivered to my lot and 23 yards to my buddy Travis’s lot. Picked up driveway fabric at HD Fowler in Redmond from my buddy Robbie.

Graded driveway with mini excavator and laid down the road fabric.

Knife River was right on time to deliver the goods.

Installing the underground utilities to both of my 10x10 outbuildings and my buddy Travis’s.

Didn’t get done til 9pm.

Ready to pour concrete in the morning.

Yes gravel and concrete came from Knife River in KFalls.
1/2 way between Chemult and Chiloquin.

Travis wanted to just mix the concrete with a 2 bag concrete mixer but at 60-70 bags per slab 180-240 sacks, I called Knife River to get a price for a concrete truck to deliver and pour. At about $200 for sack mix per slab it was $300 per slab delivered. No brained there It had to be a Saturday pour which added $55 but the total bill was $910 in total.

Bill from Knife River showed up right on time. There was light mist but nothing to make us worry. Bill was such a great an helpful guy. He loves the area and what we have going on as he snowmobiles up in our country all the time. Told him he’s welcome to come to our campfire anytime.

Sunday got my buddy Travis’s bathroom plumbed to his septic and waterline/ conduit ran from the well to his building. Started grading the gravel on my lot and trenching in between my 2 concrete slabs.
Monday Travis left early. I still had to finish trenching and laying 660’ of pipe.

Still had daylight so decided to load up some more logs for firewood at home.

The trailer is perfect length to haul the mini and a load of logs.

The passenger side BOSS triple airbags have been on my shop floor being patient. The 3” exhaust needed to be ran to the inside of my shocks. Tonight I decided to work on Snowball❄. The family was out so it was a perfect time.

Removed the exhaust pipe.

Cut the tip off the pipe so I could rotate the bent section of pipe to the inside of the shocks.

Welded on a new Marmon Flange.

And the other end on the tip.

Mocked up the pipe and it fit great. Another issue that’s been bugging my wife is the vapor from the crankcase breather lines. Since I had time I decided to address this too.

Cut some black pipe nipples to insert into the end of the tail pipe. Marked the location with soap stone and cut the holes out with plasma cutter.

I decided the cut the nipples with a 45 angle and install them this direction to help draw the vapor out.

Installed and used a sledge hammer to angle the pipes closer together. I installed the tip of the breather lines just far enough to weld the pipe.

Both of the crankcase breathers installed.

Next I wanted to finish the parking brake cable and make some support brackets.

Finished running the 3/4” poly pipe from the breather hose to the tail pipe.

Looking in at the tips of the crankcase breather lines in the 3” exhaust pipe. No more crankcase vapor spewing out under the 60.
