strong work on getting the drivetrain in without killing yourself, or the cruiser.

Still disappointed by that. I was hoping for far more drama/ comedy.

Ok, plan today was to install LSPV, Bleed the system and go. The lower plastic of the LSPV did clock, but it took more for than I would have guessed. I fumbled with the bracket mounting bolts in the 35 degrees of wind and snow that is my driveway today.

Then I built a bench bleeder for my new master cylinder.

I bought a copper line at Auto Zone with flats ends in 3/16” size…I think. I cut the tubing with a mini tubing cutter and bent the arms into the reservoir.

I then filled up the master to the MIN line and pressed the brake pedal a few time gently with my hand. It sputtered and I added a bit more fluid. A few more pumps slowly and bleeding was complete.

I hooked up my power probe adapter and the Motive unit and it’s a great fit. Really nice tool. Pictures will be up soon, but my passenger rear bleeder valve was seized and I rounded it with my flare nut wrench. I’m pissed because I should have put one of my 10mm 6pt sockets on first. I got no love with the vise grips, or a 10 mm wrench. I’ll get back after it tomorrow after it soaks with penetrating oil. Hopefully nothing shears off. These calipers were new a few years ago too.

MINNESOTA WILL KILL MY CAR:cry:😭

You know that moment when you post your s*** in your friends thread…man sorry Pell. I’m apparently not qualified for the internet. I’ll move this over to mine.

With all the other crap we talk in that thread Pell probably didn't notice.

Before you try to loosen the bleeder again , use a small hammer and tap it fast but firm straight in in the tip like you're pounding a nail. This can help break it loose. Don't hit it hard enough to deform the tip.

Wheels? Those are big. My gawd. Hurry up! I want to see this thing super beastly and painted some weird Audi or Porsche gray already!
Wheels aren’t going on for another couple of months. Thank you for your patience.
Where you going on those 37’s??? You have officially broken the Mud record for most oem parts purchased in a single year maybe six months. I don’t know but my steering pump banjo bolt was still good brother. At this point your decision has been made to use Toyota red. If you don’t this whole thing will be for naught.
Just like aunt Flow, my radiator only gets the red stuff.

I’m still getting used to the lingo, it’s a whole ‘mother world here!

Hey! The night is still young. There will be blood.
true, he did lose comedic value points.
If it’s any consolation, I almost killed my wife “accidentally” when I opened up the valve to lower the engine a bit too much and that bîtch came crashing down upon her. It scared us so badly at the time. I couldn’t believe no one was hurt and the cruiser wasn’t damaged. I caught it just within a hairs distance away from smashing it all over the drivers side where Toyota engineers basically put every damn thing.

“My bad, babe. You good? Now shut up and get back under there.”

This made me laugh, Greg. I worked until very late last night and didn’t get much time doing anything on the cruiser. Had a moment to jump on mud and saw this on my thread and figured you were just freezing to death working on your cruiser and drinking to stay warm. Got drunk and posted here. Welcome to the s*** show, it’s all good.

I have the Blackhawk uppers but now I kind of want these MT uppers.

Anyway, this torque wrench made light work of the crank pulley. 304ft lbs of ummph

Mine are beaten to heck and still not bent. Several years of abuse this is. But, the poly bushings set up is BS. My thread shows why and how I kept those stout links and made them better on the road while retaining there off road do stuff.

Just needs a battery, some fluids, quality assurance to comb it over and we will try cranking her this Sunday. We’re taking the kids out of town for the weekend so I’ll lose precious time with my cruiser.

We put our work up for QA and they have 30 minutes. After that I call their lead.
