I don’t think you should consider it as a consumable, but the connectors apparently can be extra rough and require your attention. This is from my reading, no personal experience. but I’d just do what Steve tells you to do at this point.

I use one, a Samsung galaxy tab 8 as navigation device in my rig. it works well and I am happy with it.

I was kidding, no one wants a Samsung Tab 3. It’s so old the resolution looks like the art projects my kids bring home from school where they use Macaroni noodles to make a shape on paper.

Who’d want that kind of punishment in a tablet?

I was just trying to unload my burden onto you guys. Too bad you guys caught on quickly.

I got the Android because the Toyocom reader for the 93-94 OBD1 only works with a Android device so I though I mite as well use it for navigation as well.

I’m an apple fan too. I like your setup, it’s clean and convenient for the driver to quickly gain SA while focusing on driving.

I think the HS students would find scantily clad ladies more facinating than all the online poRN they already consume. They be like “who’s creepy dad is trying to kidnap us with this old ass Android and thses ”old timey“ pics?”.

Definitely not just us. Man, when I got this rig I must’ve pulled 20 pounds of s*** wiring and crap and dirt and muck out. Now I find the PO had the wrong rim. Admittedly, I probably should’ve noticed much sooner than now.
