Eww. That sucks. Did they all have the same lugs??!?
When I bought the cruiser I replaced all the lugs since like the PO's MO, I had a smattering of different lugs. Some chrome, some acorn, some shank, and probably a wad of aluminum foil meant to look like a lug.

I'm gonna fix everything and give my girl the care, love, and attention she deserves.

Definitely not just us. Man, when I got this rig I must’ve pulled 20 pounds of s*** wiring and crap and dirt and muck out. Now I find the PO had the wrong rim. Admittedly, I probably should’ve noticed much sooner than now.
POs are frustrating. I hate my PO for letting a crap shop in Bend Or do half-assed work on this truck. For god sakes if your going to cut the rear cross member out of the truck to install the Labs bumper…don’t **** up and cut it .5” too short and lose a bolt that holds the famed thing on.

It’s satisfying to fix all the poor prior work…kinda like picking a scab….gross but oddly satisfying. I may have over shared there, but I stand by it.

Scary how quickly you, and that other guy who should write books, got sucked in and learned the language that is the addiction. I used to think that the vehicle was the addiction, I have since come to realize that the addiction is the lingo primarily, and the problem is secondary.

We like to talk in a language that not everyone understands or appreciates.

Looks like you need new wheels. If beadlocks are not what you need, SCS offers some handsome wheels made for Toyotas.

Get ahold of yourself man!

Steve, appreciate you stopping by to check and comment on my thread. I look to you and others for advice so swing by anytime. Wheels are in my future. Not sure what kind yet and for which 80. It’s gonna be a while so I’ll need to learn the art of patience. Or is it a science? Maybe both, either way I’m excited to get started!

I have the same issue on mine. When I finally discovered it, I had been driving it for 6 years and had all acorn lug nuts.

I now have one wheel with shank style and three with acorns.

I carry 6 each of both types with me now.

I have a set of Lexus wheels in the garage that I've been planning on polishing for the last 5 years. Not ready yet.

Gotta happen soon because the s***ty chrome coated factory wheels are starting to leak regularly.

Yes, I torque the wheels to the proper settings for the lug type.

Patience is a virtue, one that I could use more of myself.

When I found this on my cruiser, I immediately thought of you. I remember reading that you have a stray wheel and had to use two different torque values. I also remember reading and thinking, I'm glad I didn't have to do that. I'm sure I was smug about it too. Well here I am now, mentally preparing to deal with two different torque values on my wheels for the rest of my life. Give me strength.

On a side note, I have an extra set of five each newer style rims so I have other options.

Greg. Stop it. Stop! Stop trying to spend my money, we're not even married. Yet. :flipoff2:

I don't need anything fancy, those steelies look pretty okay to me. I have to figure out some plans and reprioritize what I'm doing with the cruisers. I'm still undecided what path I want to take. Luckily the USAF has me by the balls and there aint s*** I can do about it right now anyway.

fj steelies you say?

Two cruisers is twice the fun right? Right? So 10x FJ steel wheels comes to…….

Actually Greg, it'll be three once @Riverrunner picks it up from Tx and brings it to Tn. I'm super blessed!

You have too many already...this may get re-routed to Denver:flipoff2:

I guess I shouldn't put all my eggs in one basket, I don't have the cruiser or the title yet.

Those look real good. It helps a great deal that they're not black.

I still think the stock FZJ wheels are tops-they just can't be improved upon. LX wheels are a second best to them.
I couldn’t agree more. I lucked out and the PO powder coated mine black. They look nice and clean up easily.
