my slow 0-60 time is compensated by my Bumpers which seem to cause anxiety to the teslas I’m merging between on the freeway. I signal and after 3 clicks I just start coming over. Works for me! :flipoff2:

On slicks at the track my lightning does 0-60 in 2.2 seconds.

What do I win?
My AMG was 3.1 ... Man, 2.2 has to feel like a sling shot.

Definitely a different experience in the LC.

You guys are fast. My previous whip was powered by a 22-re, which might have been faster than the 1FZ, but probably not.

Maybe on the ford Forum :p

Any other mods besides slicks to do that ?

I can confirm that my 94 1FZ can run circles around my 86 22RE 4Runner.

:p

Had a great run today with two cruiser heads, @TheTractor with a sweet 62 series with a 6BT and @mdkaboom who drove a 200 series with some armor goodies that he got on the mainland (read: I was jealous). The three of us and our kids headed up to Peacock Flats. This place is amazing. It is situated at the western most point of the island and we had to get passes to get through US Space Force sentry who escorted us to the trail (they don’t want you taking pictures of the satellites and facilities).

From the trail head, it was about 7.5 miles and approx 1.5 hrs to the Mokuleia Forest Reserve.

The three of us had never been before so it was a new adventure for all of us. We got to the first campsite and it was situated in higher elevation and in open meadows with gradual grades. We were surrounded by beautiful trees, Cook pines and lots of eucalyptus.

Onto some pics:

All three cruisers did well, none of us encountered any technical issues and we just took our time. There are several areas where the trails branch off and get moderately to excessively technical. We were fortunate to not have to contend with mud because the landscape is hard packed and I can only imagine how treacherous it might be to try to navigate the grades and switchbacks through mud.

Overall, a solid day and getting to know two other cruiser heads is always a welcome endeavor.

I brought one of my dogs too. She NEVER gets car sick and my other dogs are hit or miss. She ended up barfing 5 times in my cruiser. FIVE TIMES. Cleanup sucked.

Also, don’t go in here. This is a place for sinners.

That looked like fun times! And when are you buying a 200 series?:flipoff2:

It was a good time, next time I plan to take more pics/vid of the technical parts. It's nothing crazy and I have to take it easy as I have zero armor on my cruiser.

And I'm always on the lookout for another cruiser. Currently, I'm passively shopping for a 40 but if the right 100 or 200 comes along, my wife will be pissed for a bit...worth it!

I love this. I also have so much want. But need a barn first!

SAS 200 on 40s? Best of both worlds!
Now we’re on to something! You really are full of expensive ideas! Let’s spend Pell’s $$!

Oh yea. Damn it.

But this is Pell’s $$ not ours.

Fellas, I’m all about you spending my money! Hopefully I’ll be asking for your help here in a few months to help me outfit one of the cruisers.

Also, been monitoring my fuel consumption and I may have simply gotten a bad batch of fuel.

When I went up to peacock flats, I reached the end of the trail and removed my gas cap. The air hissed for about 2-3 seconds. After I got home, I removed the cap and the air hissed for 1-2 seconds.

I haven't detected any smell of fuel and so far my fuel consumptions seems back to normal. More monitoring shall be done.

Are you willing to try the crappy plastic aftermarket charcoal canister? My hissing tank nonsense ended when I ditched my nice Toyota one. Hissing gas tanks freak me out now. I really don’t wanna rupture the tank.

Crappy? Are you referring to the ones everyone commonly uses; the VC120?

As far as the hissing goes, every vehicle I’ve ever owned hissed when removing the gas cap. Old and modern vehicles. It just depended on several variables.

How long of a hiss is bad? My wife hisses at me when I stumble home drunk in the middle of the night only to wake her up for some nookie. Is that kind of hiss because that’s scary. Or like a garter snake cute hiss?

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with my canister. But wtf do I know? I don’t want to crack my tank but s***, if some gas pressure cracks my tank maybe my cruiser isn’t the “tank” it’s purported to be. I mean wtf?

Avoid ethanol at all costs
