Hmm that is interesting, I have never even heard of that site.

Good idea to keep an eye out! I have pretty much settled on the truck has to be black, simply because I don't want to have to do a repaint and all the hassle it entails. And also because I want to color match basically everything to the body. So no chrome grill, headlight bezels, window belt line, etc. And I think I am really leaning towards LX over LC because I could rob the interior pieces and save them for my other LX.

I know it is a long shot getting everything I want, but I am willing to wait a little while longer.

Hopefully I am not coming off as my way or no way, I really do appreciate everyone's inputs and ideas, and some make me rethink my plan. I do try to explain my thought process but they are not set in stone if what I say sounds stupid I expect to be called on it. lol.

All blacked out would look really nice on what your doing.
 
Whole lot easier to find a black LX470 than an LX450. This thread might just become an engine swap thread. Can I keep it in the 80's section since I am using the 1FZ? lol

Think they came with the 1fz in other countries. May not be *that * hard of a swap.
 
They did and up until 2002 they used the same A343 transmission and all years used the same TC.

Problems: no stronger axle options, rear is a semi float, and 1998 and 1999 have a weak 2 pinion front diff.

That one has been on CL for close to a year and I think it's missing a lot of stuff by now.

Ya but I'm pretty sure the 105 series that came with the 1FZ and solid axle is much more like the 80 series in terms of frame width up front. A UZJ truck from here would have the wider frame rails for the v8 and IFS. I would agree though that dropping a motor into a 100 series would probably make the suspension mods for a low street truck more reasonable. Plus you'd have cup holders?
