Ah super gramps of course! lol.

That is awesome! I can't believe they trashed gramps because of a few minutes of rain.
I was surprised too, but without the windshield in there would be a lot of water in places you don't want water.

I certainly didn't expect them to go with a different body-style car altogether.

Yeah but a whole lot easier to pull the dash and put a fan in there than do a whole new car. It was fresh clean water it isn't like salt water falls out of the sky or it was a flood. But oh well. lol.

Oh and Pete drives a 100 series with a 1FZFE in it. So Hypertune is Land Cruiser friendly!

As requested....

Wow that does look clean, there really doesn't look like there needs to be much clean up at all! That combustion chamber looks tighter than I remember, I sure hope we can fit the oversized valves I ordered. Lol

295/40 R20 so about 29.3" overall height, it is right at 1.1" shorter than the 295/40 R21's I planned on running, but I think having the Volk's will be cooler than having custom cut wheels and will make up for it.

But it is about 2" shorter than the stock OEM 80 series 275/75 R16.... might be too much. lol

Still no luck finding the right Black LX so I will pull one of my Duratracs off tomorrow and mock up where I think it will sit in the wheel well and see how it looks. It looks like a hell of a tire. And it is cheap enough I can pull the front driveshaft and do wicked smokey burnouts. haha.

even JDM :flipoff: lol

You know what? This will decimate all, after, you put about fifteen grand in it or more. If we have to, overnight parts from Japan.

There's a guy fitting independent front and rear suspension in an FJ60 in the 60 section, his is going to be more of a rat rod show car but I like the concept.

Have you considered independent suspension for the front at least? Maybe from a 100?

Interesting I will have to go check it out. @cruisermatt Do you have a link?

I haven't considered it, for now it is just going to be solid axle. Time, cost and facilities are not on my side.

I think 10:1 was the right choice. Turbo could have been bigger though as well as injectors.

I just took a frends 1100whp Supra for a rip, its got non storker 10:1 compresson, 272 jun cams (10.5mm lift) and 2000cc ID injectors with a Hypertune intake and a GT47 The thing is a beast even with the large turbo the power and off boost performance is amazing. The high compression and E85 agressive ignition timing really make it feel like its got a much smaller turbo, but man does it move out when the boost builds. 1100hp on E85 street tune is impressive.

Yeah E85 spools turbo's like crazy. Take that same car for a spin with pump gas, I bet you would be less impressed. Lol.

I agree I could have gone bigger on the turbo, GTX4508 probably would have been better, but again all this power has to get through the built A343 transmission lol. And I will want to run it on pump as well so spool is important.

I know the motor can handle it but there just isn't any development for the rest of the chassis.

I think ID2000's are too big. Even on your friend's Supra they are overkill and they are not rated to be run with alcohol fuels. The new 1600's have better atomization and are alcohol rated.

I think it will be Ok. I will have a slightly bigger cam than the 276/284 but it's basically the same lift 10.35mm intake 10.50mm exhaust but I will also have large valves.

Intake 33.6mm vs 41mm
Exhaust 29mm vs 33mm

A mostly curiosity question, but why turbo only and not turbo + super charger? Is it due to running at higher revs? Seems like the charger would be beneficial off the line while you wait on the turbo.

Well really that would be complete overkill. The days of huge turbo lag are basically gone with the right turbo selection and a proper turbo manifold.

Running the numbers on the GTX4202 on this engine it should be possible to see around 540ft/lbs at 2700rpms and over 800ft/lbs by 3000rpms. since I am going to raise the redline to 6700-7000rpms and because the tire diameter will be smaller than stock with the stock gearing I think you will have plenty of power pretty much at will.

In 3rd gear at 2700rpms you are at 57mph, without shifting in 3rd gear at 7000rpms you are doing 149mph. Plenty of passing power.

Hmm while interesting and I will keep an eye on it, that tire selection in my humble opinion is going to look terrible on a cruiser. A 275/35 R18 is only 25.5" tall. Almost a full 4" shorter than what I found and I am worried about mine being too small. It will be interesting to see how his goes.

"What's the value of an FJ60 shell?"

Not too much tech but good inspiration.
