Geez 1.6"/40mm or 2.75"/70mm wow, that's my problem... I have 1.25".
How do I know which I need & talk to me about the thinner front sway bar from is it 91-92? Will a 91-92 US spec sway bar be thinner or do we need to get that through Redline also?

The topic of sway bar selection from AutoCraft might warrant a whole new thread as it interests me very much as well. Are the sway bars being brought into the U.S. as well?

Easy way just go 70mm ;)

Smaller sway bar is only a couple of mm more clearance.

Redline is bringing them too, correct.

We have also been having them made 1.5" longer for the fjutes with diff moved back 30mm, for bigger tyres, which we also do on 80s for 38s and up to not have to cut the rear door or flare etc.

So, here is a pic that I have not seen anyone post yet. This is not completely on the bumps yet, It has approx 1" left to go. I counted 14 turns on these tall coils, its a lot of metal to fit within the confines of the stock bump stops. Hope this is helpful.

They fit .
Oh, I'm very sure they do. You have definitely done your homework. I didn't mean they didn’t. You wrote once that to make them fit you had to go to the thinner wire on top due to block height restraints.

So it wouldn't be suggested to run coil spacers or trim packers on slinky coils, right? I'm looking at getting the rear heavy 50mm coils instead of 864s but I think I might need a little spacer to bring it to my desired lift. The 75mm would definitely be too tall based on seeing @Box Rocket

CAn run up to 10mm packer for trimming or levelling.

In the rear we run a 30mm bump spacer, so theres a tad more room in the back. [pic is 100 but you get the idea]

Thanks for the info, I forgot I would be running a bump spacer if I have longer shocks so I do have some play.

you could run the metaltech spacers as they lower the bumpstop.
I didn't know the metaltechs did that. More stuff to look at now!

The MT are to long when I checked them last.

So, are we talking block height here when you are saying that spacers on top would possibly not work because of the amount of metal compressed to a point that the coils all stack out with no room left?
So, another way to say it is if one wants a 4" lift just adding a 1" spring spacer would require adding a 1" bump spacers also because of block height of the coil?

I think those MT spacers drop the spring perch in the front (designed originally to level the stupid OME J stinkbug on a crawler), and at 1.5" and 2" would be way past "tuning". Assuming of course some proper shock to spring travel design in the first place.

For some comparison's sake, this is 10" of shock travel (Fox 2.0 remote res), pin to eye mount adapters shifting shock travel down, 4" lift. 5" up travel perfectly protected with 2" of bumpstop drop and 5" down travel. Rear coils at full flex.

The extended coil is still seated, and is probably within 1/2" of full extension.

Stock rear swaybar with frame mount drops, front swaybar removed (handles much better gone), stock brake lines.

This is what it looks like in practice (I have no new good vids).

That was about $1,500 in springs and shocks. Shocks are owner rebuildable and springs are true to the day they were installed.

Not saying that's a viable profit model at 80 series low volumes, but it would be nice if somebody would just dial in a non-expo 4" lift again given that height is the sweet spot of these rigs and I'll need new sh$t one of these days.

Are these still back ordered?

I'm currently running OME j's in the front, heavies out back with fox 10" remote resis. Id like to drop ride height, would the 50mm springs work well with my current shocks? Any improvement to ride quality with just the spring swap?

Not sure what stock he has but more leaving here this week.

ride would improve with just springs due to the taller free height, softer rate design we have these made to.

Woody runs the 50mm in Gretchen.

Really? I thought he had a 75mm... I'm counting over 13 turns on front right coil.
