No plan survives the first engagement.

Things are moving a tad slower with the property in Cush (FL) as a result we’ll be wintering in the Land of Nod until things wind down. Currently on an operational pause with the Mede hall due to weather. Snow storm(s) caught me off guard then -F and single digit temps keep an old man next to the fire.

So, idle hands = 2.0 back in the batters box. I think we’re getting the band back together for Phase II. Laying the ground work for some upgrades. I’ll post up the COA’s and progress pics as things kick off.

Dispatches to follow. 🍻

@Chungas Revenge according to plans, I should be living in Michigan now…that was the first engagement
My daughter brought up this “ if something happens to you or mom, now you’re stranded a thousand miles from family”

With that, I’m starting my 47th year in the same place…

Many years back my favorite Sis went on 6 weeks of photo safari in Africa, I told her she was on her own if something bad happened as I couldn't walk there. Find a G3 or a model 70 in 375 or 458. She did send me a pic of her with a guide's 458 but they wouldn't let her shoot it.

@mtn biker - Pretty sure I’m in the right place now. It’s just me wandering aimlessly through random pages in the 40 section.

So I spun the wheel on a set of genuine Indonesian knockoff rubber mats for 2.0. Front and rear included. Rear mat in place without consternation. Front mats will require minimal trimming. They’re a nice softer compound and rolled out easily.

In all fairness the AQ is cut differently in the footwell vice an OE tub. These may lay down properly in an OE application.

Test fit some shooting gear in the cargo area. Sticks like Velcro. 👍🏻

Rear cargo mat.

Like I said I do really appreciate the hijack. Brings more traffic to the podcast thread;)

Front mats. Some trimming required. YMMV on an OE tub.

Not sure I have them oriented correctly in the pics, L vs R. I’ll play around with the fitment later in the week.

@Dianna

Just double checking before I drop the 52 bits in the post. Confirming 2 caps and 4 rings? Are you running a 52 spare?

Phase II A.

The Mule came complete with a factory HT. Changing directions in anticipation of some warmer climate driving. Ordered a TROA Ambi door soft top and frame kit this week. So, the front doors will be going back to the paint booth. Remaining HT pieces (top, sides and ambi doors) will spend the next few months in dry storage for a fall 25/winter 26 resto.

The unexpected down time in the Land of Nod hasn’t gone to waste. I’m reorienting my “garage” at the storage bld. Gotta admit, in some ways, it’s like going home.. I’ve had that unit going on 20yrs.

Collected all of the door pieces, parts and accouterments yesterday. Everything was under a good coat of epoxy primer and made it through a year in dry weather storage unscathed.

Monday AM back at the Grand Meade Hall..😎

Ph II B. Two pronged op w/RCLC in direct support.

2.0 will be getting the Ms Revenge requested “Old Air AC/heat” courtesy of RCLC. @Jdc1 laid the groundwork while 2.0 was north last year, finishing up the install this year in time for the 25 skeet season . And while it’s there, biting the bullet and adding EPS.

Ms Revenge definitely competes above her weight class but, turning the new Falkan’s in the parking lot is a challenge.

Last but not least there’s some good things waiting in these boxes…

Really wanted to get this finished up last year but the keeper of the bank of Chungas House, Ms Revenge CFO, placed a moratorium on Mule feed ($) till 25..😉

HaHa, congrats Mrs. Revenge, CFO of the Bank, for keepin' that drunken sailor in line!

What are those caps for. they look interesting.

Those are the factory caps and rings for a set of Fifteen 52 rims. I didn’t use them on 2.0, went with a modded rim to accept the Yota factory hubcap. @Dianna purchased a set of 52’s for her LC. I’m just passing along a little Cruiser Karma..

Ha! It was a lean year, had to collect aluminum cans for shotgun shells and switch to domestic 🙄🤣🍺.

Slight change of plans today. Ms Revenge suggested a late lunch early dinner at the local Italian Restaurant. My inner fat kid debated the options. Finish cleaning out new/old garage or carb load for a marathon? She broke me.

I did mange some quality 2.0 time. Did a little nip and tuck on the knock off Toyota mats.

Pulled 2.0 out of the BG for its weekly fluid rotation. Let it idle at 800-ish for about 15 minutes. Hit the prerequisite poser pics. Can’t waste a good poser moment.

While I was frittering away the minutes watching exhaust steam, Brown Santa rolled in with an arm load of gypsy treasure for Ms Revenge and a box for 2.0.

My dumb ass thought that the reflection of snow on that pristine paint was a huge paint peel 10 inches wide like the paint peeled off.
