The Mules keeping some pretty good company. Beautiful ā€œ58ā€.

Winch plate is in place and it’s looking like a front end..I donated the ā€œEngoā€ to a local homesteader for use around the farm. Looking at options in the Warn lineup. It’s a 200 meter target so I still have some time.

Man, if there’s ANYTHING left of 1.0 in 2.0, I wouldn’t park ā€˜58 anywhere in kicking distance of the mule.

Speaking from experience. I delivered a replacement axle housing for an LV to a shop that was also working on a Cobra. Sure enough, before the day was done, the LV bit the Cobra.ā˜¹ļø

She’s tamed down a bit but still will remind you she’s there.

Plenty 1.0 remaining. But, its mostly gussied up now. 😁

Now it’s getting realā€¦šŸ» Fenders /Aprons mounted. The new lines look very nice. Some subtle differences in the Aq vice OE fit.

also, I love checking out the shop in the reflections.

I was going to do a write up of all the human reflections I’ve spotted. A ā€œghost in the machineā€ kinda thing..

Just made it back from the upholstery shop. Good News: Material is in. Bad news: They haven’t started.
Great guys and a very good shop. It’s spring and everybody is lined up. The Mustang is still in the shop for some reason….

To quote @Jdc1, ā€œIt’s starting to look like a proper TLCā€.

I see that spare tire, if needed, is a 2-man job. Got some weight to it…any flex somewhere?

Should be good to go. I hung a 265-75R/17 on homemade extensions for 10yrs or so.

Out of curiosity only…. What made you decide to place the screws on the right side. Tach looks great regardless. Are you mounting it where the headlamp switch would have been?

Quantum Redneckery-

1st rule of Quantum Redneckery is ā€œFor every idea extrapolated from the mini fridge, there’s probably a better way to do it, but you go with it cause your on a rollā€.

When I switched 1.0 to 17ā€ FJC steelies and the 265 Coopers I had to mod the sheet metal carrier to accept the new setup.

You can see the spacers I made to handle the larger spare tire. Used grade 8 bolts, 3/8ā€ tubing and dual large washers to handle the additional stress. You can just make it out in the sea of black DP.

The big ol honker is really a much cleaner/easier/less intrusive way to modify the stock carrier.

I see very little redneckery in this thread.
