Nice progress. Could you have run a low pressure (carb) electric fuel pump instead of the mechanical factory one? Would have saved the custom machine work?

I drilled it out then sanded with a Dremel, one hour of my time. I still have not decided to go carb or fuel injection, but decided to go ahead and mill this out if I go that direction.

Finally got some good news from the machine shop, engine looks great, need to mill a hair off the top of the block due to some corrosion. Just need a hone in the cylinders. They went ahead and pushed all the freeze plugs out and cleaned it really good, so I need to order new freeze plugs and rings. I should have everything else needed

Thanks. I am going to pick up the engine at the machine shop today and start to reassemble..... I still need to find rings. I have typically purchased NPR rings model SWT10184ZZ ; however, partsouq cancelled the order and it appears no longer available. Sounds like Hastings or TP is available still. I found somewhere that inside the Hastings box you will find NPR. Will see if the machine shop has a source. I know that Toyota is available still... so have that option too.

Forgot to take pics, but got the oil cooler on the engine, then realized that the oil pan that I got cleaned at the machine shop were from the VZ engine, without the Crank position sensor, so spent a few hours with a pressure washer and a wire brush.....

Have a local friend @1994pd that wants to help build the engine back together, so going to get everything ready for a build day....
