Nice! What the Toyota Gods intended.

NH road trip getting close 😳😉

Bob......the end is near.

Ironically I was talking about you today. Was speaking with my brother about the progress on The PIG. I was telling him I had bought the body parts from you which started this whole project. I also told him, when completed I want to take some trips, one being driving to New Hampshire and buying you the lunch I owe you.

Immediate summer looks busy, two weddings and a planned vacation but I do plan on getting there. I've made a resolution to stop working so much and get away more often. I'm not getting any younger.

Just went over the 2.5 year mark on this project. Anxious to wrap it up and and enjoy The PIG. See you soon.

Did my research here on MUD to get the color. Of coarse there are many opinions. General consensus is although not the exact pewter, this is as close as it gets. I did not have to match any existing paint therefore matching would not be an issue. I am very pleased with the color.

Toyota T145 Ash Gray Metallic. Here is the PPG information.

PIG is not done and on the road yet. Have to take advantage of some nice summer days and do a little cruising. This time in the 76 FJ40. Took off on Friday and hit the road. Destination is the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. Located in north central PA about 1 hr south of the New York border. Trying to find as many back roads as possible. Travel time is about 4 hrs.

We've had a lot of rain in our area, that is evident by the water height and color in the Susquehanna River. Close up it looked like chocolate milk.

Have a teardrop camper and this year with COVID decided to park it at a small campground located along the Pine Creek which travels through the PA Grand Canyon. Love the spot because we're right on the water. The campground is relatively primitive as far as campgrounds go. That's what we like about it. Some pics of my camper setup:

Best part of all. The view from my window

Spent my free time exploring the surrounding state park forestry roads. This should keep me busy for quite some time. Also the Mid Atlantic BDR route passes near the area. Looking forward to checking it out.

Here's a view of the PA Grand Canyon

Big Day! I'm calling it done (for now). The PIG is out of the garage, running and passed PA Inspection. October will be 3 years since it went under the knife.

Time, money and effort. It was worth it. Needed to stop the rust demons and keep this vehicle on the road. Mission accomplished, no regrets. Of coarse there are some things I would do different but for the most part I am pleased with the results. Doing the body work and paint in my garage isn't ideal. Following some of the impressive builds on the forum can be humbling and inspiring.

I see a few paint flaws that I may address this fall/winter? There is no such thing as being totally done.

Thanks to everyone who followed along and contributed their knowledge and support. Here are some poser photos.

Adding some interior photos to complete the unveiling. Thrilled with the improved comfort. I'm able to sit straight while driving.

Can't believe the King Ranch seats and layout worked as well as it did. Comes with a large center console for an elbow resting spot and some much needed storage.
