I will be interested in knowing how that door rubber works. I bought similar door seals but from Rock Auto for my 1969. When I put it in one door the “bulb” part was too thick to close the door. I bought regular windlace (so no bulb part) in order to make it close properly. I now have four doors worth of Rock Auto rubber sitting in my garage.
True on the availability of the piece but they usually sourced as 8 footers. As you probably know, our FJ55s are special and the openings are over 8 feet. I get them sourced in 12 1/2 feet lengths so you install just one piece of door body seal rather than needing to purchase an extra 8 footer. After trimming, any extra can be used for the Tailgate Body Seal.
That is exactly what I used the extra Windlace for in one. Put some along the body of the tailgate. All the rubber I bought from you especially the tailgate items have been very good. Thanks John.
Front seat replacements picked up Friday from upholstery, now they’re working on the back seats.
Need to work on the plastics but I’m liking how they turned out!

Well Reality is biting me in the butt here with the PIG. No way is she going to be remotely done before I move to Oklahoma in a month. This means I need to package up the 2F I was going to throw in her.
Any recommendations how best to pickle the engine? Can I simply put oil back in it and turn the crank? With aircraft engines some folks use a desicant plug not sure if I need to do that but I sure don't want any corrosion building up. I am guessing it will be this fall before I can even begin to address the engine tranny swap after new shop complete.
My cruiser projects are officially being put on hold now just trying to organize and find some way to store these rigs somewhere around where I am moving since the barn just got final plans today and I am told when we do order windows I am looking at 12 weeks.
Sheesh! this kinda sucks!
My master plant to swap teh axles with the current PIG axles and do disc brake swap has taken a significant change of course. I have to haul the donor PIG 800 miles now and with the current rust it's going to be interesting to see what is left when it gets there!
When we were racing we used a spray can of “snowmobile oil” to keep things from getting the brown fur over off season, would pull the plugs & fog it while turning over. It’s been years so I no longer recall the exact product name.
Wrap in plastic!! After fogging! Mystery oil works great in engines. Had a 2f that sat for 6 years in my 78 fj40. Put fresh Oil in before storing and she fired right up with little effort

Sounds like the best laid plans...
Or "why do it simple when you can do it way more complicated". <-That is how I do my projects...
Good luck with the new barn, and moving the 2F, and moving the donor Pig. Sounds like the move is going to be quite the production!
