Tell Marshall you are with CLC. He's a good guy...

...both Jim and Mark are probably going to take weeks...

Probably longer than a few weeks! But, then again, there's a reason his initials are J.C.! I don't have any experience with Mark's rebuilds. Marlin also rebuilds carbs.

I bought a Trollhole carb when I had my 60 a few years ago. Was very pleased with it. Had an issue with the fuel cut solenoid and Marshall took care of it immediately. Really good guy.

Would you rebuild a 1F stock carb or buy a Trollhole or other? I'm not aware of anyone in the club that runs a Trollhole but I've heard good things. I know Jeff runs a Webber but I am leaning stock rebuild due to all the obvious reasons.

I'm thinking of sending mine off to Jim C. or Mark ......

Mine has multiple issues: back firing through carb (probably fuel mixture and leak), won't run without skinny pedal (probably idle solenoid and possibly float).

Truck runs great once cranked and moving but the crank, warm up and moving into first gear part or idling is a series of skinny pedal, clutch, prayers, cussing, choke, and timing.

I'm not interested in rebuilding myself and am kicking around options. I'd like to drop on a redone/new one and have the timing reset. Rob has just done plugs and wires.

I would rebuild the 1F carb - in fact, I have done it :D

that carb is the shiz on a 2F - and I have that on very good cruiser authority

get the carb rebuild kit from Kurt and follow the FSM; look up the Pin_Head videos on youtube - it's not rocket science, really

also sent you a PM

Does anyone know this truck, or the seller? It's in Baton Rouge but also listed on the Jackson craigslist. One of the Austin guys is interested, but wants more info and an objective opinion. Thanks.

I think it was one of the BSLCA guys that used to own it. Can't remember. I'm sure one of them will chime in.

I was contacted by the owner of this truck about a year ago. I don't remember many of the details and I don't have the guys contact info any longer. He wanted some opinions about selling the truck. He has had it for sale since then. I want to say he started asking around $18k for it and from what he told me I thought it was overpriced. Its a nice truck in the pictures but I have not seen it in person. If you want someone that can put hands on, @HODGES lives near it and may be able to help.
