@techster82 will be interesting to see the clearance between the tire and the SPC arm.
I recently had to replace my SPCs and now i have a rub on the arm. 50mm offset wheels, 35x12.50 tires worked for years with the older arms, now they rub....

do you know if your wheels are 50 or 60mm backspacing?

if they clear on flat ground, have the shop lift up the front of the truck a little so the suspension drops. the SPCs really stick out more on droop.

Truck looks GREAT!

The rubbing was most evident when we had it on the lift and were testing for contact at full droop and full bump. On flat ground it just barely (and I mean barely) clears the arm.

The wheels are the stock Tundra TRD Pro BBS wheels, I'd have to go back and find the offset but I want to say its something like 58mm?

One night at like 2am my buddy helping me joked about grinding the SPC arm for additional clearance, now I'm wondering if I don't go back and entertain that!

It will self grind to fit...🤣
I picked up a set of walker Evans wheels. 18mm offset. Curious to see if it pokes out too much. Gonna be wide. As a fun side note, I had to order longer wheel studs from Japan to get enough threads on the front. Have you re-geared?

Yep, self clearancing is definitely a thing!

I have not regeared yet, want to get all the suspension squared away and dialed in first. When I regear I'll do lockers at the same time, most likely Harrops. I've been reluctant to sell one of my other cruisers but right now I'm trying to get the 200 setup enough that I'm ok with letting our 100 series go. I'd most likely do the gears/lockers once/if I sell it.

Sorry to hijack, but I haven’t seen longer wheel studs shared anywhere else. Can you share the part numbers please 🙏🏼

Should be good for 6 or 7 more turns (10mm longer). What wheel are you planning to move to?
Not changing wheels. Just have some open ended lugnuts on the rear and they show a few threads left that I’m not engaging. Currently I run 3/4” adapters on the front and don’t need anything there. And no adapter or spacer on the back so until I have to put an adapter on the back I’d like to use a little longer stud for the peace of mind 👍🏼

Book says 34.76"
weighted at 36psi, a front tire
vertical is 34"+ (I didn't get the level out, but somewhere in there)
Left to right is 34.25" (ish)

Where is the truth in advertising these days?

(previous 35.3" book measured 34.75" vertical weighted)
FWIW, I measured my KK35x10.5 unmounted, and was getting right at 34.5 or maybe 34.625.

Got my new Ironman coilovers with the heavier springs in the front to help with the weight, loving this setup!

Finally flexed out pretty good with the 35's. 315/70/17 on rock warriors with 1.25" spacers

First of all, absolutely love it.

And god some good rubbing on the rear. Hadn't seen too much mentioning of how people have dealt with the rear. Options would be to
a) deal with it, as it is pretty minimal and will only happen at slow speeds
b) larger bump stops and or some kind of bump stop spacer. simple enough, would hate to lose travel
c) body lift. not too opposed, but more involved and would rather not increase the center of gravity
d) new wheel wells welded in. Haven't seen this done yet i dont think. With rear drawers, always in the cards I am not opposed to doing this at some point down the road, but it would be in a push to get 37s to fit id imagine. Would also need to trim the bumper and I am sure some fender.

Safe to say most do option a, with some option b's and maybe one or two option c's?

My wheel wells look like this with 295s - it will self clearance :P

Don’t see many folks running MT/Rs these days, how do you like them?
Love my MTRs but they are only 34.7 inch (315/70R17) is that close enough for this thread ?

they are working out great so far, had them for about a year, good mix of offroad and hwy miles. I run Treps and Open Country MT's on my other 2 Cruiser's and these are proly my fav for overall performance of the 3.

Noice! Surprised you're not catching the lip of the rear wheel well on the sidewalls? Though articulated side to side, it tucks better. If you ever do high speed driving and squarely compress the rear axle, you might notice more catching of the fender lips.

Looking and your rig is a beast. If you ever get out there again, give the steeper left line try. She'll probably make easy work of it.

Maybe I'll catch you out there one of the days. I'm headed out there this weekend. Hopefully it'll have dried up a bit from the todays rain.

It seems like when I was plotting the build on my rig, the consensus was 35's are next level and require a ton of mods as compared to your standard 3" lift/ 33" tire combo.

What changed? Is everyone rocking relos and spacers? Tundra front ends? Or are at least some folks just dealing with rubbing?

I'm not going to lie: I'm jealous and I'd like to figure it out.
