2F - rebuild...

The slight mismatch in your photos will not affect flow in a meaningful way. If you are inexperienced in the art of intake and exhaust porting,
I'd suggest leaving it alone. A quality exhaust header will give you a noticeable power and MPG increase so I would get that if you haven't yet.
Aftermarket carbs can improve performance as can the popular Sniper FI mods.
When I rebuilt my 2F, the port mismatch was minimal like yours. We did match the ports but my builder was a pro and did a very nice job.
Okay, I have to admit, I've never worked on a cylinder head before. 🫣

And honestly, I'm a little afraid of doing something wrong.

I'm definitely going to get a header.

I've already picked one out, but I still need to save up a bit… 🫣🤷

I would like to have that.

But unfortunately, it costs almost $900 plus shipping…🫣🫣

My wife is going to kill me…🫣🫣🤭🤭🙈🙈

Really? have you seen this?

Wife can only kill you once...
Hmm… that's probably true. Then I'll order it right away… 🤭🤭🤣🤣

Of course, I've already seen it and I think it's absolutely fantastic. 😍

But the price is really not that great… 🙈🙈

So, Christmas is sadly over and as promised I took care of the sealing plug today...😎✌️

Hi everyone,

I went to the hardware store yesterday and bought some taps.

And today I cut the threads... 😎✌️

Very nice. I would vacuum the hole out to get any chips - then use something like brake clean with air pressure to blow the entire passage clear. Big fan of anti seize compound too for the plug

That plug needs to never, ever come out for any reason. Use red loctite, crazy glue, cross thread it in, peen the heck out of it and weld the hole closed.

Never thought of this, but staking it might be a nice touch.

OK, perfect...I'll take the KC859...💪✌️😎
For an added bonus adjust your secondary so it comes in super fast, almost immediately. You use almost twice the fuel and go 10% faster.

I might have gotten too aggressive adjusting my FJ60 carb 😂

Hello dear friends, the old year ended with a minor disaster. 🫣🫣 I had the "brilliant" plan to install my new camshaft bearings myself.

I even built a special "tool" for it.

Actually a great plan, but unfortunately it didn't work.

After the first bearing was in, I could only get my homemade tool out with a hammer. 🫣🫣😔😔

And after that, the bearing surface was completely ruined on the inside.

I'm going to buy new camshaft bearings now and give them to my engine builder next week when I bring the block in.

I wish you all a happy new year, Jürgen 😎✌️
