2F - rebuild...

Hello,

Since my 2F cylinder head is now completely finished, including new hardened valve seats, etc., I've completely disassembled my engine block.

After Christmas, in the new year, I'll take everything to the engine builder and see what he says.

I think I'll need new pistons.

I'll see if standard pistons are okay, or if the block needs to be bored out...

Does anyone know how much I can grind the block without causing problems?

There a two 2F engine manuals I'm sure all the info needed is there.
With all the work you have done, I would do new pistons and rings and have a "new" engine.

It doesn't "look" terrible. The micrometer will tell more. The head looks great. Should be a good runner when you're done.

Your lapped contact pattern on the pictured valve would be better if centered on the 45 degree face instead of on the edge of the valve.
