:bang:Started the front axle service and now need new front inner axle shafts. (ordered)
She will sit in the driveway until Tues/Wed.

I have an extra set of Marlin's if you want to speed up the process a day.

Going Marlin or OEM?

Inner axles? I ordered the actual shafts I also have both the marlins and oem. I plan on using the oem from what I've read on here. Thanks though!!! I also ordered some shims for the upper trunnion to set the preload correctly.

No, I have extra inner axle seals from Marlin. I agree that I will go oem next time.

In the half dozen that I have rebuilt, I have never had to change the shim from factory, interested to see what you find.

If you are missing or need anything, give me a shout. I will pm ya my cell.

Took apart the fuel pump and cleaned it out. Then I pulled apart the carb and cleaned it out. It's amazing how much stuff gets in there after 20 years of sitting.

do they still sell the fuel pump rebuild kit? i remember rebuilding one of those a decade or so ago. i have a couple of those pumps lying round..

Mine was just all gummed up with crud. So I cleaned it out. The I wasn't getting gas past the banjo bolt on the carb do I took the carb apart and it was full of all kinda crap. From mud dobber nests to you name it. Once we did all this she fired up without any starting fluid for the first time in 20 plus years.

I sold Jane today. She's headed down to Branson with the new owner. Now I have to go home and face the family. :crybaby:

How much were you asking?

I was asking $15,000 in the classifieds here. I put it on ebay with a buy it now of $17,000, and it got to $12,300. The new owner saw it there and had called me, but wanted to inspect it before making a bid and didn't have time. Since it didn't sell there he drove up yesterday and we worked out a deal within 5% of my asking price.

Congrats on the sale. Now you can commit to the next project.

FJ Cruiser side view mirrors. Running lights not yet wired, thought I'd do that in the daylight. Don't plan on using the power feature. I tested the passenger side today and its nice having a mirror that's solid and usable. Still waiting on the drivers side mirror glass from eBay.

These replaced my useless old farm truck mirrors that were only helpful when stopped.
