I have an extra tranny filter you can have if you want. Aftermarket, not oem. They shipped two in one box. There are several transmisions, so I will get a part number if you want it.

Yeah! Now how do I get it from ya before Wednesday?

If it's the right one I can get it to Blue Springs or maybe Oak Grove on Sunday around 4-4:30 PM

This it??

The 4cyl in my 97 4Runner decided to spit out a balance shaft bearing last week. So, since then I have done the following:
Balance shaft delete kit from LCE Performance
New timing chain, sprockets, tensioner, and guides
Water pump and t stat
Complete cooling system flush
New inner cv boots
Fuel filter
Front sway bar bushings
Clean up and paint some stuff under the hood.

Seems to run great! Hope to get another 235k out of it.

Here's the damaged balance shaft and what's left of the bearing.

Mr. Butler.

YOU FRICKIN' ROCK.

Had no idea one could eliminate the balance shaft! Do u have to plug an oil passage that used to feed the bearing?

Sent from my phone using IH8MUD

Yep. The kit came with new bearings minus oil passages and a drill bit and tap to put a plug in an oil port in front of the block. Runs great with no vibration. The guys at LCE Performance said the balance shafts were kinda redundant on this engine and are the only weak point. Failure of these bearings is pretty common on the 3vz engine.

Added a few touches to the rear of the 80 yesterday. Installed a garage sale divider ($5.00) and added my CNC TOYOTA logo to my drawer system. Also extended the front diff breather still need to fininsh the rear and t-case.

Yeah I built it nothing fancy it's a single large drawer built it about a year ago now, its seen pretty good use and holding up pretty well. I spent maybe 80 bucks in materials minus the slides. I cant recall how much they were.... I do remember they are 500lbs from McMaster-Carr. I'll get some more pictures tomorrow.

More pictures... I don't have any of the build. Its secured to the 3rd row seat mounts inverter will be going in soon.

In a nut shell framed it out with 2x10's the drawer is 1x6 white pine with a 5/8" plywood bottom, the deck is 11/16" and is one solid piece I wanted the structural strength of a solid deck. Before I screwed down the top I sat on top of it putting all my weight on it then secured it to the 2x10 frame. I did this to put a friction on the drawer it worked very well. It holds the drawer closed with a great amount of force. I have 2 load-bearing clamps from McMaster-Carr however I haven't needed to install for the past year its been in the truck.
I used outdoor carpet, spray adhesive and staples to secure it.

I didnt want to have a huge or tall setup thats why I opted for a shallow profile it lines up with the 2nd row folded down.
Hope these help with your plan.

Nice work, it looks pretty sharp especially the Toyota emblem.

Most likely I'd keep it one big shallow drawer. This way every thing is right there. I really don't have to spend a bunch of time looking under things or in different drawers. Just an ease of use type thing for me, and less materials to buy; slides, wood, carpet. They are not full at the moment but for trips they are usually at capacity with an extra birf, tools, etc.

I looked at many set ups before I did these and didn't really like the deep, double drawers. They were just to bulky and looked to reduce the area of the rear. Thanks for the kind words and good luck on your build.

Just saw the toyota emblem. Nice!!

Well I need to insure/register/license my 80 sometime I guess? Might go with a personal tag of ASI H8 (United States Army Special Additional Skill Identifier (ASI) H8, Recovery Operations Identifies persons qualified in vehicle recovery operations) if available.
Then it is time to do some PM (with assistance from Mr. Jobe) Wednesday, 13MAR13 (must be his lucky day) on my 80. PM includes, but not limited to: change engine oil, oil filter, change plugs/wires/cap/rotor, change fluids in trans/t-case/axles. If time permits start chasing down that pesky PO401 code.
After that I’ll give it a bath.

Legitimize - Well the 80 is Legit now. Kinda pi$$ed someone has the ASH H8 and ASI-H8 plate I wanted. Oh well.
PM - Changed oil and filter. Plugs/wires/cap/rotor were all good so I didn't replace those. Didn't have time to change trans/t-case/axle fluids or chase down the PO401 code.
Bath - That didn't happen ether

I put some bigger tires on the 4Runner last week. 285/70R17 tires on 2013 FJC wheels. Next will be 4.88 gears.
