Today I found out that my wiper shifter was not working properly and that the unit was not cheap! ****k

To change you need to remove the Wheel

But now I have Wiper Juice :)

My next mission is the back up the light and flasher problem! I ordered the plug with wires to make the conversion from the LC79 Wires floor #2 to the HZJ78 taillights again with TS/ [Yazaki] 090 2 series F Terminal -CAVS0.5 [wires] I ordered wire floor #2 that matches my wire floor since this one was not a matching year and there's no power on the sub-tank plugs (UPDATED ORDER CANCELED production stop)

I pulled out the wiring diagram on TOYOTA MANUALS

I'm not quite certain now about my light plugs, as the backlight plug listed is a BQ3 originally in my truck on the driver's side. I was always convinced this was hooked through the wire floor #2.

Also, I'm not certain if this BS2 (light duty) is the same thing because it's the same plug as the BQ3 (heavy duty).

I went ahead and purchased the counterpart plug and will test if it works. If it does, I will then make a harness, but it surely looks like it.

It's not that straightforward to convert an HZJ78 harness to an LC79.

Another small part done we are going to weld the frame to the cabinets since there’s clearance to bolt in the floor and wall
Will continue after my return mid Jan

This is one heck of a build! Can't wait to see this 78 on the road and exploring all the places.

Cheers Mate! Today was a good day put back the original wire floor and tester Floors #2 got the rear wiper working and with washer juice!!! + Defoger on side too!

Still need to figure out the rear light x 4 and the sub-tank waiting on the order from Japan to test :)

Thanks for the kind words!

Have you ever used those booths I had that one from the wreck LC79 not so pleasant to install but no water will come in now 100% I have left incomplete for now since I still have some wire to hook up via the Switch Pro!

This plug was left alone no wonder it's the winch connection :) not an option on my truck
Got the backup light test running all working fine but still have a flickering from the flashers and no green light in the meter so I ordered a new

since I suspect this one is toast FLASHER, TURN SIGNAL Genuine Toyota relay (8198012070)

Also order 3 poles for the sub tanks GAGE ASSY, FUEL SENDER Genuine Toyota (8332069335) my 180L is very deep I suspect to arm doesn't go all to the bottom my reading is empty...

Tomorrow will start to plug the terminal for the backlight 4x

While I was away for a few days, I figured it would be of better use to make a list of things that need to be completed on #IMUA. The term "IMUA," a Hawaiian word meaning "to move forward with spirit," perfectly encapsulates an ethos of progress and perseverance, symbolizing a journey not just across the earth but also within.

  1. Finish the restoration wiring for floor #2 and taillights.
  2. Complete the cabinet bracket on the passenger side.
  3. Construct the framing for a 200AH House Battery.
  4. Build the framing for the Air Compressor.
  5. Create the framing for the Coolant Reservoir.
  6. Make the framing for the Water Pump.
  7. Have the Cabinet painted.
  8. Acquire some wood for the countertop and barn doors.
  9. Install the Toyota front wheel hub.
  10. Start internal wiring for house Battery
  11. Complet the double battery tray with lower profil for the hood.
  12. Start shopping for piston, rods, turbo etc
Voila my 2024 list for now!

See you guys soon into the far horizon!

Happy New Year! If I can suggest, wiring (or a wiring plan at least) for your house battery should be higher on your list. Preferably before painting your cabinets, in case you need to make some conduits for the cables and drill holes.

A list of 12 things for 2024! Love it Tommy. That means 1 item per month 😝. Can’t wait to see your progress!

If would ever need to crimp terminal using P-706 Hozan

Should be part of Costa Rica's US ExPat recruitment scheme... "Move to Costa Rica, where you can own a new 70 Series"

It’s very hot here but it’s la pura vida so maybe one day I find a great opportunity to export a LC79 double cab 😃🙄🤭
