As part of my build I want to swap the fuel pump compensor with #2254017260 it’s the boost compensator for Turbo set up!

I was in pain removing the fuel pump this should of be very easy ended up getting a SST amazon puller aka did the Job!

Next Stage is to sending the pump for rebuilding along with the injectors

Since I had to pull the rear axle, I figured I should change the shoe brake and strut my bad I ordered the wrong kit as per my HZJ78 as the antilock system go figure! So I took the time to clean and spray for the new one to come

The center rear diff is back in place I need to do the front now to make sure everything is in line with the specs

For reference :

Flange of the HZJ78 is smaller than HZJ79
Front and rear Same count of spline, same ratio but slightly bigger in the HzJ79 I suspect stronger too

If you are redoing your diff this little Yukon adapter comes handy

Got the new HZJ79 core drilled and raptor spray

Decided to used the HZJ79 core because the inner core was somewhat wear out on the HZJ78 which is 13 years older and the cap didn’t inspire me much

Start with smaller hole then 3/8 and finish with 1/2 hole (final size for electric plug )

Got the crown put but the pinion bearing is sized on the piñon not certain it will come out … if not will need to get a new kit 💰💵💸💴

Mark came from Ontario drove a Toyota pickup truck and pick it up on-a Polaris trailer

Only the frame left and I will wash it and see if it’s repairable or not before grinding it

What are you doing now!?

Cheers

I am gonna sell this frame because I think it's a shame to cut for metal! I used the truck for engine and transmission basically after finishing my differential rebuild missing the bearing for the front! I will start the bracket to bolt the aluminium cabinet, then send it to the paint shop

I still have some electrical to finish tail lights, bumper, and fogs, and get the sub tank gauge to work!

Fuel pump rebuild, injectors rebuild etc 1HZ-T build ect :P

Finally got a chance to clean and make space to work properly

Should received the tapering diff bearing this week and complete the front

Tomorrow will play around with the CB, switch pro bracket, start measuring the floor for cabinets bracket and will do so electronic stuff if I have time

A small update might be interesting to document as pointed out by @JuanJ on the main cowl wiring harness near the headlights you will find 2 plugs
you can buy a male connector to fit them OEM

IMG_1823.webp

These are the plug to look for on the wiring harness

IMG_1825.webp

You will need to buy the fog button to connect to the wire loom inside your vehicle (plug & Play)
IMG_1827.webp

Connecting when turning to fog switch on this should work

Still in the process of finishing the electricity, Left turn signal is flashing quickly need to find out what's happening there and also get the backup light working
The sub-tank is not giving a read... and I need to get the defogger + wiper motor working in the back!

I need to order a new pinion and crown for the front the second front of the HZJ79 was damaged... no luck

Slow progress for now

This morning had the chance to go at my friend Roger to press both race bearing in
We also installed the oil deflector small progress should get the new crown and pinion today

Quick update, Redone the shoe brakes completed missing one spring on the passenger side! I ordered a new rear brake today with a spare pad to complete the rear! I will paint them with raptor!

REAR BRAKE REBUILD

Thanks to Douglas Green for this video

I am still struggling to finish the front differential but hopefully, I can complete this task and move on to the electrical and bracket for the cabinets sitting there
